Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

Has anyone else had problems with downloads from gamefront. everything i try to download that sends me there crashes my internet explorer. This patch included. Its made modding very difficult over the last couple of days. Advice please cause i really want to play this mod cause it look amazing

Neither Firefox, nor Chrome, nor IE can find the file or something!
Do you have an adblocker on? I can download it just fine via the link above.
Then I shall deactivate adblock for a bit... But that still doesn't quite explain why I have the same problem for chrome and IE as well (both of which I have never used on my pc before)

So do I need to update my game at all before I use mods? I tried updating to 1.1 but once I launch the game it says 1.0. DOes that even matter?
That means the game isn't installed correctly. You'll need to reinstall freelancer. You don't need to apply the 1.1 patch.
i cant get in to any server only one i could get in is the demo one for 2.0 and it says that the server is going offline so it wont let me in
there is only one server available at all times. It should, however, let you in. have you tried again?
Does this work with pirated copies, I bought the game a while back but cannot find my install. So i was just gonna pirate it, but if the mod wont work i guess i'll just buy it again
It works with properly installed versions of Freelancer, particularly the bought variety.
Installed on Freelancer 1.0, clean install, updated to FW:TOW 1.4 patch, gives me Resource Warning "Handle invalid for resource: texDeferredGlass" then crashes. Any ideas?
