FUN Source is a hl2 mod. It combines action-packed multiplayer gameplay with crazy weapons and game modes. This is not just your run of the mill "Half Life 2 Deathmatch with extra machine guns, maps, and characters", this will be unique. We are aiming for creative game modes, weapons, and content. While we will have deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag and the like, we will have many unique game modes.

Progress..Progress..Progress..
We have come a long way since we started and we feel that the mod is really starting to take shape. Whilst visual aspects such as the HUD and textures are not nearly perfected, we have a great chunk of our gameplay aspects and coding completed.
Lately, we have been finalizing some of our newest weapons and features. We now have completed the CD-R Gun, which fires lovely blank (or Barbie Horse Adventure) discs out of the drive, cutting people with its circular awesomeness. We have also completed the model for the weapon pickups and other miscellaneous ground items.
On the Programming side of things, the mod has been greatly shaping up. Brush vehicles are now 100& (or 99.9% - still working out a few kinks) completed. You can create now add the "vehicle_seat" part to anything your making in hammer to have a nice drivable vehicle. Who doesn't want to drive away in a custom trash-barrel car-o-death? Also, depending on stance and velocity, the crosshair will expand and contract meaning that your more accurate shots will be placed when crouching and not moving! Bullet spray will vary with stance and velocity as well. There are also separate binds to throw the different types of grenades now. For example, two enemies are in a room, pop in a PhysNade with your x button and throw and Incinerator in with your z button and watch Physics and Fire combine!
Mapping has been slowly progressing into some good stuff. Our map fun_warehouse has been updated and further improved. Another map fun_unrest has been updated as well. A currently-unnamed map has been created. Our Wall Jump Tower has been completed and a completely working and destructible Amusement Park is in the works. Another currently unnamed DeathMatch map is also in the works. All-in-all, the mapping team has been hard at work trying to get some good maps ready for our Alpha, which may be coming sooner than you expect!
Amongst all of this added and updated content are bug fixes as well. We have tweaked our weapon pickup system and fixed many gamemode bugs and glitches. Yeah, I wasn't aiming this to anyone specific, it was just for the people that may have thought we were copying Rocket Crowbar, or if anybody just was wondering in general if there was a connection. It's just clarification.
Yeah, I don't think Nick understood though /: . I think he was referring to the general thought that people would think it was taken from rocket crowbar, and not your post but I don't know.
I never said you guys where copying, I just said simular. If you guys did have the exact kind of weapons then I would be a bit upset. I was mainly pointing that info out due to someone had mentioned it, and the fact it could be seen as a clone based off what that person said ect ect.
Hello, this is Nick, the Public Relations man from the mod..and I did not know of RC:S until recently..actually only until you guys made posts. I checked it out, downloaded it, and played it..and I must say the two are alike, but very different. RC:S had the basic idea of adding some new abilities to weapons, and FUN Source does that as well. But, the "rocket crowbar" idea in FUN Source is that the Rocket Launcher fire out Crowbar rockets. And the physic grenade work in almost the same manner. One thing that differs completely between the two though, is the overall content. RC:S was unfinished, so I'm not criticizing them, but FUN Source wants to make the gameplay and the maps and gamemodes the basis of the mod, not the cool new weapons. So the weapons here are just a small factor in what the overall product is. So look for a "revival" as you guys call it with tons of new things added, but the same fun concept that RC:S had.
On a side note: the auto-bunnyhop is a feature that can be turned off and a feature that (with experience in testing with others) does not provide and unfair advantage to players.

I see no reason to just shun this mod because of a option a server can set. I bet you there will be a few servers with it off.
