FUN Source is a hl2 mod. It combines action-packed multiplayer gameplay with crazy weapons and game modes. This is not just your run of the mill "Half Life 2 Deathmatch with extra machine guns, maps, and characters", this will be unique. We are aiming for creative game modes, weapons, and content. While we will have deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag and the like, we will have many unique game modes.

We have been hard at work programming, modelling, and overall developing the little details that make this mod fun. Everybody loves gibs, so we added them! When killed by an explosion players will be greeted, or for that matter, disintegrated into a lovely pile of bloody body parts. And what would gibs be if you couldn't make them easily? The grenade launcher has been textured and is ready to be put into the game. Now you can launch your grenades out of the launcher, blow your foe into a friendly pile of blood-soaked body parts, and watch all of the remaining pieces burn in flames. View effects have been added as well such as head bobbing and weapon bobbing. This gives a whole new feel to the mod, you no longer feel like you're sliding around. The crosshair will expand or shrink depending on your speed of movement and the position you are in. Team gameplay has become a lot simpler too with the addition of red and blue colored player models. Our hud is also in the process of being redone and we currently have a new dynamic health bar and lives indicator.

While I like the idea I think it would be even better if you took existing HL2 weapon models and redid them to look like other things. The gravity gun could like a vaccuum cleaner, the rocket launcher a potato gun etc.

It's funny. Recognizing a character from another game is lawlable. It's not the best thing in the world or anything, but something to get a chuckle from.

When the game is released, all the weapons will have their own models. We've replaced a lot of the weapon models, and added/will add some new ones.

Yeah, Claudes just in there for fun.
