I like this one way better, I always thought that the default one is way too big. I have a question though: Is that number under the km/h display the amount of kilometers you've driven? And is that the smaller circle in the default speedometer?

The smaller circle on the stock speedometer relates to vehicle damage, even though its a tad inaccurate at times.

The values under the km/h here is the km driven (and in yellow is 100m etc.), you can change your distance unit in the options as before. The values are the same that were shown on the stock speedometer, the main thing that has changed is just the design/size.

Awesome! But is it possible to reduce spacing between digits? :)

Yeah I'm looking into that now (the spacing isn't intentional on my part), just gotta find where its declared.

Ok I had to change font to get the digits closer - I've updated the image above.

I think I prefer the analog speedometer. It's way easier to determine the position of a speedometer needle out of the corner of your eye.

The problem with the default hud is that the large needle is actually the tachometer / rev counter and not a speedometer. I personally didn't see the need for an enormous tachometer in the bottom corner, so I removed that and left the speed value reading.

Its possible to play with the default HUD if thats what people want, this re-design is just my personal preference.

Description

This is a small modification which replaces the standard speedometer with a much more compact, solely digital one. I always found the stock speedometer to take up too much room with unnecessary information. This design is just based on personal preference, you'll still be able to pick the stock speedometer if you wish.
