Frontier for Skyrim is a massive landmass mod which introduces a new continent to the game. This is the land of unexplored wilderness filled with barbarians and threats, but also towering cities, proud castles and thriving villages.

I should really not neglect my ModDB-page. I've been supplying you with screenshots every now and then, but I have now decided to run a monthly update on this page to tell all my hundreds of thousands of fans on ModDB what's happening. For the very latest, you can always check out Frontier's Development Blog which I update on an almost daily basis.

Frontier has been coming along nicely. I've not had any sorts of major issues creating the continent. Right now, I'm concentrating on finishing the exteriors of it all and I'm varying this with also doing some of the interiors. The whole of the settled south, where the Imperial Colony is based, is as good as done when it comes to exteriors. Just detailing and such left. It's looking good.

After doing the south, I will start on creating the barbaric north. These will be the areas of the mod that give it its name - Frontier. This will be totally uninhabited by civilized people; you will only meet hostiles in the very north and a very inhospitable climate. These lands will be inhabited by a range of aggressive native cultures.

ETA is still to be decided, but with the current workpace, it's going to be sooner than anticipated. The plan is to alpha/beta-release the mod as it is when I'm done with the exteriors and interiors. Then I will be starting to add the questing and storylines while you get to visit the empty Frontier and report any bugs. Below are some of the best screenshots from my recent development. Stay tuned!

does this work in conjunction with the original skyrim land mass??? There's a neat sailable ship mod called the Gockstad that I've been looking for mods that add landmasses that require sea travel.......

Ohh, and Awesome work!!!!

The Frontier is in its own worldspace. I hear there's a Tamriel-mod-project being created though which will add the whole landmass of Tamriel. You might check that out, becuase it would be quite awesome to sail about in Tamriel.
