Fragging Free is a Doom3:ROE single-player modification.

FF has a precise objective: to bring the classic gameplay to the maximum.
We've found D3 gameplay good, but it was too slow and static if compared to older id games.
We worked hard to create something better and now we have a really fast and fun gameplay with crazy fights and much more challenging enemies.

In Fragging Free you'll find lots of action, lots of monsters, lots of power-ups and a well-balanced gameplay that will push your skills to their limit.
"Free" is the word that summarise the essence of this mod: no more limitations (instant weapon change, high walk speed and ut-style dodge abilities, no falling damage, no need to hold a key to run, ...), no objectives to follow, no stupid puzzles to do... just focus on fighting and have fun.
If you love Doom, Quake, Unreal, Serious Sam, Painkiller you know what we are talking about.

MAIN FEATURES:
- Fast gameplay: instant weapon change, high walk speed and ut-style dodge abilities.
- 10+ big maps filled with adrenalinic fights, lots of secrets and many outdoor sections.
- 18 weapons: we added what was missing do D3 and adapted the old ones to fit the new gameplay.
- 15 weapon powerups.
- Possess demons: fight as a demon in 3rd-Person Perspective...every monster has his own abilities and unique gameplay!
- Bullet time mode allows to gain health and move 2x faster. It can be recharged by collecting demons' souls or obtaining new medals.
- New/reworked enemies with new AI and attacks.
- Friend marines with advanced AI: they can choose different weapons according to the situation, they can talk and cooperate.
- Custom Sound Track.
- Drive a vehicle.
- Medals for special kills and map statistics.

If you are looking for a fun and challenging classic-FPS, this should be your cup of tee! :D

I've recently played a custom map for D3 named Kings Cemetery, released by WarlorD69.
I really liked its old-school gameplay and the level design, but the action was somehow limited by the default D3 gameplay, which is always too slow and boring for my taste.

So I loaded the map in FF... and the I was surpised how well it worked! A lot more fun than before. :)
That's why I'm releasing a version of this map that is FF-compatible thanks to few fixes.
I've also replaced some weapons and monsters entities with the new ones from FF to increase variety. ;)
The map will appear in the "Extra" section in the main menu.

Hello,
First of all,I did play through this mod years ago and I wanted to tell you that it is great! It was great fun (even though it was hard at times) and you surely spent a lot of time to work on this stuff.
So congratulations for this awesome mod!

Secondly, I'm trying to play this mod again, but using the Steam version of the game. Now, how do I do that? Back in the day, it worked when I ran the "FraggingFree.bat" file. However, when I run that file with the Steam version, the mod doesn't start. Instead, normal DOOM 3 starts. I also tried to start the mod from the "mod" list in the game (even though it says not to). Do you have any idea about what I have to do?

This is NOT FUNCTION, icluded many errors and next CRASH !!!!! Very Bad!
I installation final version 1.2 and after 10 minuten is CRASH! sorry it is **** and it NOT TESTED!

Czech: Je to totalne nefunkcni, nainstaloval jsem finalni verzi 1.2 a v míste 1 urovne kde me ma vytah vynest nahoru to zatuhne a spadne cela hra, do te doby to fungovalo dobre. Zkousel jsem to nainstalovat i zpusobem od prvni verze a na to updaty - stejny problem! Vygenerovany log obsahuje radu chyb viz nize, coz asi autorovi nevadilo. Poslal jsem log autorovi ale kasle na odpoved.. Je to ****, neni to vubec odladeny a testovany! naprosto nefunkcní!

Help!,i have a problem...
My doom 3 run ok, my doom 3 resurrection of evil ok, install patch 1.3.1.

When I win the Sector 1 (when you ascend over a Capsule),the game crashes!
I generate qconsole.log and include many errors. I can send for you it log? thanks!

To add those parameters to a shortcut do the following:
- Locate the D3 shortcut on your desktop.
- Create a copy of it and rename it to "FraggingFree".
- Right click on it -> Properties -> find the "destination" field. In my case it is "C:\doom3\DOOM3.exe".
- Add the parameters at the end. In my case it becomes "C:\doom3\DOOM3.exe +set fs_game fraggingfree +set fs_game_base d3xp".
- Use the shortcut to run the mod.

Did with steam version, didn't work anyway. Just loaded normal doom 3.
