Fragfield was a fairly old idea I'd had. Ever since playing LAN matches with a friend we'd come to realize that while Battlefield 1942 offered potential for very large-scale, expansive fights, sometimes that drew the action out too much. This mod aims to provide fun, concentrated, intense matches for small to medium numbers of players.

The mod features new maps, reworked sound effects, adjusted weapon damage, and health regeneration, among many other tweaks to gameplay. Full Coop support is included on all the new maps in case you don't have enough human players to fill in or you want to practice on your own.

And once more, I have finally decided to stop playtesting, biting my nails and hoping there's no bugs I've missed, and just release the mod.

I decided to do a bit of a tally in regards to what I'd added. Turns out I'd more than doubled the amount of weapons and maps available, so that should keep players busy for a while.

I've got quite a few people to thank this time around. It would be quite the essay if I was to talk about the exploits of each and every person, so I'll simply have to direct you to the credits section in the readme or the credits tab ingame. However, I would like to say a big thankyou to the [GoD] clan for numerous testing runs, and Herc for teaching me a lot about 3D modeling, which he happens to be absolutely awesome at.

Anyway, scoot over to the downloads section and get your hands on the latest version of the mod. If you're into the mapping business, you may also want to pick up the mapping aids which include files for Battlecraft 42 and the Photoshop template I use for my loading screens.

In the Map Editor, how do you get vehicle wrecks?

When you add a new static object to the 'cached objects' list, under the 'Type' drop-down list select 'VEHICLE_WRECKS'. It should then show a variety of wrecked German and American vehicles you can place. Hope this helps =)

No, it's a complete mod with 11 maps. The zombie one is just me succumbing to popular culture and experimenting with, shall we say, 'unorthodox' modding techniques ;)
