Forgotten Hope 2 is an award-winning World War II modification for Battlefield 2TM and is based on the original Forgotten Hope, a modification for Battlefield 1942TM, one of the most popular multiplayer games ever. Battlefield 1942TM featured land, sea and air combat in a way never before seen. It was the goal of the development team to maximize the game experience by adding both a realistic and enjoyable gameplay to FH and now to FH2.

Today we show some screenshots from the upcoming map Gold Beach.

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

We know that it has been some time since we last had a news update, and we'd like to thank our fans for being patient. To help make up for this, we'd like to use this update to announce the first new map coming to the next patch.

That map of course is Gold Beach. This beach landing map was brought to you by the work of Beregil and Schism.

On the morning of the 6th of June 1944, the 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division landed on the beaches between the Normandy towns of Le Hamel and Ver sur Mer. The code name given to this landing ground was Gold Beach. Opposing the landing was the 716th Static Infantry Division, formed from Germans unfit for the Eastern Front and conscripts from occupied nations. The initial bombardment and the support of the "Funnies" from the 79th Armoured Division led to the creation of a beachhead six miles wide and deep by the end of the day.

This looks really nice, me and my friends can't wait to play the eastern front. every Saturday evening we play it co-op via hamachi and it's still great. However don't rush the development, i know that the next release is gonna be great.

Amazing job! Thumbs up from Slovakia! I have one question for the makers: When we can await maps from Eastern front? I think maps where the fighting forces are Finns and Russians or some maps from Operation Barbarossa :) Thx for the answer.

I second the two guys above me, but also, how many of the Eastern Front maps (Particularly the Finnish ones :) will be available for Single Player? I absolutely love this mod but my internet is crap and it often won't do MP without terrible lag. Also, is there a tentative estimate on the release of the next patch?

and also, will the gliders be included as small (possibly very restricted) spawn points behind German lines?
