Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

Today we are showing off the third map to make it into our upcoming version 2.53 update. Today's map is Lenino, covering the first major action of the Polish People's Army. This of course means that we have yet another new country to add to Forgotten Hope 2: Poland. Lenino was made by Aserafimov.

LeninoLeninoLeninoLenino

On 12 October 1943, near the village of Lenino in the Mogilev Oblast, the Polish 1st Tadeusz Kosciuszko Infantry Division prepared to enter action for the first time, under the auspices of the Soviet created "Polish Army of the East."

This battle was supposed to mark the beginning of Polish-Soviet fraternity and strengthen combat association between their soldiers. Yet, with Polish morale low as most soldiers had only just been released from Soviet Gulags, and the promised Soviet armoured, aerial, and artillery support never showing, the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Division would face a fiery combat debut against the battle hardened 113th and 337th Infantry Divisions.

You can find the minimap and a preliminary vehicle listing here.

That's all for this week, but be sure to come back next time for another update. Until then, feel free to visit our Discord, our public forums, and/or our Twitter and Facebook pages to discuss this update and other news.

This battle was a slaughter of starved and broken men just released from gulags, denied support and pitted against determined and well-prepared enemies, while they themselves were ill-equipped and often lead by some of the worst commanders Polish military history has ever seen (look up Karol "Walter" Świerczewski if you're interested).

In fact, they were a propaganda tool for the communists and cannon fodder for the Red Army.

But what needs to be underlined is that they fought for they country, and most of them did not share the political views of their superiors. Some of them used to say that it was the only way to escape the "inhuman land" and go back home.

Prayers for their memory. And thanks to FH2 team for bringing this piece of Polish history to life.

So are you now demolishing the monuments to the Soviet soldiers who died liberating you from fascism? To fight with the dead is very patriotic ..) And do not invent a story in a new way. ,, .... they were an instrument ... ,, Ha ha ..) They were Poles who loved their homeland.
Another say that they went into battle under the NKVD machine guns ..))) You at least study the issue of the Kosciuszko Division, none of them were in the Gulag. And they were not starving and broken ... they were very well supplied and morale was very high. And the instrument is you.

God will punish you for your lies! And the dead will be cursed. ... The New Polish History ... is the story of LIE. Find a living veteran of that war from the Kosciuszko Division and ask him what it really was. And tell him what you are telling people here. He'll spit in your face!

Nobody likes the truth ... this very Pole can now live in this world due to the fact that 600,000 soldiers of the Red Army perished driving Hitler from Poland. We do not demand gratitude for this. But do not lie about us ... do not need to destroy monuments to our soldiers who died there. Do not write a story again!

Nobody likes lies. The Soviets were just as barbaric against the Poles as the Nazis were. Do you even know what the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact is? The Soviets and Nazis literally agreed to split Poland down the middle, and invaded it together. How on Earth can you defend the Soviets working with the *literal god-damn Nazis* to jointly conquer a country?

Those soldiers died conquering Poland, not "liberating" it. Shove your pro-Russian propaganda up your ***.

I see you are a historian ..)) and know a lot about the Molotov Pact - Ribbentrop? And can you then tell me about the Pilsudski-Hitler Pact of January 26, 1934? Where Piłudski and Hitler divided Czechoslovakia ..))Have you heard anything about the Tishinsky district? 1938...
Poland, using the patronage of Hitler, stole this area from the Czech Republic. Do not know about this? Your propaganda did not tell you ..) Worry about your *** respected, I'll think about my own.

Ah, the typical "whataboutism" horseshit that Russian shills immediately jump to. I see you're completely unable to make a defense of the Soviets allying themselves with the Nazis to conquer Poland.

The soldiers of the "Kosciuszko division" were never in the Gulag ...) The division was created from the Poles who had the citizenship of the USSR. They were not prisoners. The division had excellent support, support for aviation and artillery. It also included tank units ... WHY do you lie?
