The goal of force-strike is to square of ala counter-strike with weapons scenery and characters from the starwars universe.you will be able to login, choose a side (Empire or allaince)and battle for map goals bases on specific missions you choose.

1. class selection choose a side (Empire)(Allaince)
2. vast arsenal of weapons to choose from: melee,blaster energy based weapons.
3. Abilty to use the force is planned, jedis and sith will be added at a later date.
4. 2 exotic and large maps will be included at least by alpha 3 release.

Current Design plan lists the two basic types:
Imperial forces
-Stormtroopers battle drioids bounty hunters tera kasi (martial artist) Sith.

rebel Alliance forces
-Spec opts soldier,spec opts marine,wookies,tera kasi (martial artist) Commandos, jedis.

For a first release the following assets are planned:
1-4 New weapons to start more after each release.
1-4 New player models (likely modified existing HL2 civilians/rebels)

This thread is supposed to give a first look and explain some of the concepts. I will update it with updates on development (both coding and art).
Feel free to suggest ideas such as weapons, characters locations etc.

Note:
This is all planned for the alpha around A5 current version is A1 many features need to be discussed and tested before they get thrown at you testers.

Been A Long Time

News

It's been since 2009 since i last stopped here. The point of my post today is simple. I will be actively developing Force-Strike again. Now it will be an MMOFPS. I know harsh change from HL2 but UDK and Hero engine for the MMO portion are my primary goals.

The years have zoomed by. my previous endeavor from HL/HL2/CS source mapping compelled me to make my dream Mod "Force-Strike". The purpose was to create a star-wars based mod using source engine. My attempt and the mod becoming something amazing never came to fruition. real life turning it in to vaporware has haunted me for many years.

Life moved on. i have been very busy these least few years. some serious thought has been put in to my old docs for Force-Strike the MMOFPS.

I have dropped the Star-wars theme for now. copyright infringement would halt any progress on the MMO part. so at this point I will develop the game using Hero Engine. and playing with UDK building environments and maps.

I have cooked up a new theme other then Star-Wars. I will be using something similar to CS

It will be a heavily focused PVP MMO based on counter-strike. minus the name or copyrighted content. My goal is to provide source mappers and those familiar with HL2 and CS:S a chance to join in the design of the game. I will be world building and using HSL (Hero Scripting language) to create the game.

The MMO will be rated for 18+ plus since i will have many themes that will require you're of the appropriate age to play the game.

Some basic concepts I want to possibly add to the MMO:

1. Battle Grounds similar to WoWs BG's but themed for the game around mapping from a CS source point of view

2. PVP Raids.

3. Professions instead of classes. I.E you become a counter terrorist or become a terrorist. you can also choose to go rogue and become an assassin.You can become a drug dealer or an arms dealer.

4. Open World PVP with quest based objectives .

5. Giant Open world you can explore and raid.

This just a sample of what i have been wanting to get working on right away. most of the textures and 3D content i have created over the years that i still have will and is being used right now.

The Goal is to create a full blown Counter-Strike like MMOFPS based on nothing but PVP.

I'm currently a 1 man mod team, and was away for many years at school. I explained it will take some time, as I have to work on content (Player Models) and so much more. if anybody wants to join up,that has some art skills, I would love the help. I will be releasing the alpha which has pretty much nothing familar to starwars but, allows me to start adding sw specific content as i create it.So much to do guys, and this mod is not dead! it dies when I die now since I have tons of time to finally get something playable out, my focus is getting some new team members to get a fun sw mod out.

I have been away for a good long time..Anyways,This mod is back in action & I have been working with the code from wayback, when it first was started.I will have alot more to add to this mod's description later.

For anyone that still cares,It's back in production.
