Description
Here you can see how I have made and I´m making the new galactic map from my mod. I made a scene at 3dmax with each planet. The coordinates from x,y,z at 3dmax are the same from the game. Thanks to it, you can see all the planets at sametime and move them to the best positions without be loading the game each time that you need a change.
I know how probably many of you have not 3dmax 8 but you can make it at all the 3dmax versions, just you must create a sphere or even a box object for each planet and you will be able create your galactic map.
actually I think that someone made a tool for making GC maps with a simple previewer. however, I also might be completely wrong...
in that case, such a thing would be certainly useful(I use this method for "previewing" fighter formations).
Yes, there was a tool but it did not work, at least for me.
Probably the best from alo and the xml from EAW, it is how the coordinates and most of the values from ranges are the same values from 3dmax.
There was a tool editor but it did not function properly for me either..
Its unbelievable what you can do with 3dmax!
