The Floris Mod Pack is a compilation of a lot of mods for Mount & Blade Warband, combining the best and adding even more.
I loved this mod, period. It's such a huge pack of things that definitely completely change the game. I've played this for so long. The insane overhaul and the drastic changes to gameplay really changed my experience, and I loved it. Thank you for creating this pack.
Basically, It's a good work, but I think that there's something to change in troops parameters yet.
It's quite impossibile to create an army with troops on high level because they dead very easily, while the enemy can recruit more units, many of them with high level.
I think that it's need a balance work.
I've been a cheerleader for Floris for some time now and boiling it all down, Floris Mod Pack is simply what Native Mount and Blade should have been. Version 2.5 was carefully crafted by a devoted and maybe even brilliant team to create an experience that maintains the feel of Native while improving almost every single aspect. This mod-pack is a solid 10 and I'll never go back to Native again.
I played Native for a few weeks before becoming frustrated with this issue or that and started looking for ways to solve them. I stumbled across the Me, Floris AAR by monnikje and found that he'd created a beautiful thing with version 1. I fell off the face of the planet for a bit and when I came back they were already on version 2 and now the team's terrific efforts have culminated with 2.5 and I can't put into words how satisfying the experience is - or maybe I can: I can't allow myself to play it AT ALL anymore because it is TOO DAMN GOOD. It rivals my astonishingly fantastic new girlfriend to the point where I had to forced by my good friends to even post a review, something I was apprehensive to do because I don't want it to suck me back in. In a comparison between time with girlfriend and time with Floris the competition was too strong to say "both" so I retired all of my characters and avoid my beloved mod-pack like an ex I'm still carrying a torch for.
