You have just escaped from a mental institution. You’re on the run. The sun is shining, the birds are singing. You are jumping happily from cloud to cloud. You know that the only way to freedom is by reaching the ship at the end of the level. A cute bunny is jumping towards you, blocking your path. By pushing a button the whole world flips around and shows its dark side. The bunny is now an evil nurse who is trying to stop you from getting away. You headbutt her, clearing your path. With a push of the button the world flips back and shows its light side again.

It has been almost two weeks since FLIPSIDE was presented in public for the first time after a month of intensive development. With the creation of our new website we decided it was time to spread the word and share the joy of FLIPSIDE with the world.
In FLIPSIDE the player takes on the identity of a mental patient with extreme mood changes who is planning his escape from the insane asylum in which he is being held. The imaginary escape through the landscape surrounding the insane asylum will bring him to safety on the ship from the people who want to take him back to the asylum.
The escape takes place in a world put together from cardboard pieces and jumping jacks decorated with magazine cuttings, stickers and other. Those objects come alive in his mind as he fantasizes about the obstacles he will face and how to defeat them.
With FLIPSIDE we attempted to beat Source into submission in order to make real a game world that was designed to try something different from what we have become used to with most games out there.

This game is incredibly difficult :/
i agree with the 'hard' comments. :\ seriously.
what's especially hard is controlling the character, and that's just a problem.
great concept, very, very cool graphics... but too hard.
Well I think the concept and art in this "mod" are absolutely amazing.
Once I figured out to lure in the enemies with happy mode then switch and headbut them, the game wasn't even frustrating anymore...but then I finished it in 5 minutes.
I really hope that you guys go further with this idea because if expanded upon and done well, this would be a really, really amazing game.

I agree with Joest. This mod is as hard as it is original. I wish it were less hard so I could enjoy more the nice sides of it :/
This mod was fun. It wasn't the typical HL2 Mod, but it was great. The art was fabulous, it was fun, and it was challenging.
It will take you a good 30 minutes to beat, but you'll have a smile on your face for every second.
...unless you're swearing because of the difficulty.
The problem with the installer is that it doesnt create the game folders then just skips all of the files.
I wrote a small batch file that will create all the folders for you. it can be found here

Instructions:
Run the batch file.
Run the flipside installer.
Move the c:\t3mod folder into your sourcemods folder
Hope it helps. I havent tested it on other machines, but you can modify the bat file
Geocities has a bandwidth limit so if somebody else could host this file it would be nice.
