Aye. It is here now. The first non beta Flat-Life version. Singleplayer and multiplayer supported with included maps and everything fancy.

Be sure to head over to the download page (or here) and get it, and after you've done, connect to the official flat-life server flatlife.no-ip.biz:27015

Thank you.

Ok.

I reinstalled Half-Life in Steam, extracted 'flat-life10full.zip' to the 'half-life' -folder, started steam and I see the Flat-Life mushroom. Game starts correctly and I try to join the only server: Flat-Life server (empty) and I get: "Your client .dll differs from the server's.". So what's the catch?

(sorry for the spam...first post went to the wrong area :) )

Nice to see that HL1 is still alive and getting cool looking mods! :)
I don't dare to test it, yet, because of the cool looking water. Do you guys use some kind of shader for that water that could possibly be taken for cheats by VAC, as the shaders or whatever they were in Paranoia?
I don't wanna loose my VAC-ability... :P

No, you won't get banned. Paranoia modified one of the standard half-life game dlls for it's effects, Flat-Life does not. It won't get you banned any more then the Spirit of Half-Life bloom.

Played through the singleplayer. First map, nice to play through apart from a few bugs here and there I encountered. On the iceflow map (easy):

1. You can get stuck inside the rotating "fins" of the vat.

2. The door to the first Vortigant bugged on me twice. The first time it just wouldn't open, the 2nd I got stuck inside it as it opened. The previous area faded out, but the bullsquid(?) could still shoot me.

3. I died to the explosive tripwires on the bridge. The autoload caused a strange black filter to appear over the first scene. I think this is from the "fade-in" effect.

4. Those squeaky pigs blatantly just appear behind you :P

General: Crouch takes too long. When reloading a character will not have his hands in the right position for the selected weapon. Flashlight appears directly on your character, makes its use a bit difficult.

Other maps: Lab map crashes with memory bug when I die. Tetris map kicks me to the map selection screen on death (that's a chore when im trying to play it!)

Overall good game, just needs work.

That's because there's no maps included with the main archive.
You'll have to go to Punbb-hosting.com and download some.

oh and by the way, when I'm at the place where I select a map the screen is just black and does not show a background like in the screenshots
