First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. The goal of First Strike is to totally immerse the players into the amazing universe of Star Wars by presenting the most accurate representations of famous Star Wars locales, weapons, and characters, and combining them with exciting, fast paced gameplay and features new to the Battlefield scene. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. You'll fight across lovingly detailed recreations of various Star Wars locations with a wide array of weapons and vehicles.
One side will have to strike first, for that team will have the greatest advantage...or will it?

Ok we dont have any Wampas for you, not today anyways but we do have some goodies for you. First up is the AWING Cockpit crafted by FSDev| RedMonkey and sweetly skinned by FSDev| Rybot. Following on from that we have a WED Treadmill Droid a common utility droid as modelled by FSDev| Sturo and brought to life by FSDev| Ramseus.
Then we have the MG-15 Blaster Rifle modelled by FSDev| Lord Bandu and textured by FSDev| JayBiggs and right next to that we have the Sentinel Shuttle a work in progress by FSDev| TALON.

The star wars theme could work extremely well on the BF2 engine :P
thel2dadoublee , Im guessin you just looked at the pics and not read anything from the update?
Your answers for the tree aesthetics was in the update. This is why I didnt really want to show ingame pics so early. People tend to just look at pics. However , I got outvoted.
Anyway, what you see there is just the result of poly count testing. Getting the balance right between poly counts, the amount of trees and performance. There has been no effort put into the aesthetics of them...AT ALL.
As for the Bunker. The textures are very good. That pic is from inside the editor I believe. Either that or its been cropped. Common sense would tell you that the jaggedness is nothing to do with our models or textures etc.
The interior textures are just as good as bf2142 textures. You would see that if you examined them. Effects and lighting (esp. lighting) is the most important thing when it comes to interiors. Obviously we havent done any lighting yet.
Id agree, tho that some of our update pics dont do the skins justice cos; sometimes renders/screenshots get stretched to fit the template.
We are in the early throws of implementing a Ranking system in conjunction with other Mods.
When I try to load the game I get the error "BF2142Pace.exe has stopped working" I'm trying to run the game in Vista with an 8800GTS. I get this error for 2142 aswell as First Strike. EA haven't been able to help me and I couldn't find any help online. Please help me
Go to MUltiPlay and untick everything except same mod (which should be 1.1 now). punkbuster and then search you should find yourself a few servers.
