A mod for Star Wars Empire at War/Forces of Corruption that follows the story arch of the new movies. This mod is a sister mod to Yuuzhan Vong at War and both mods will be built off the same framework, so a lot of work done for YVaW is work done for this mod. As long as Disney has not finished the new trilogy, this mod is on hold and dormant ... to be awakened.

Description

DISCONTINUED The planet placement tool is a tool originally created for the development process of Yuuzhan Vong at War. It allows you to quickly change the planet layout on the galaxy map, and re-size the galaxy map as a whole.

So can this also change the planet placement when playing a space battle or is it just for planet placement on the galactic map?

Planet Placement for the GC map. If you want to change the location of a planet for a space battle then simply edit the map.

Hey, you had that idea too ^^

Thats a nice surprise.
I am not able to create a new issue at your mantis bugtracker page as anonymous user (a user right issue?):
Bugtracker.yuuzhanvongatwar.com

I just tried the Planet Replacement tool, but it refuses to load the Planets.xml or Planets_General.xml from my mod or the Planets.xml from the Vanilla game, returns Unhandled exception:

System.TypeLoadException:
Could not load type 'System.Numerics.Vector3' from assembly 'System.Numerics, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.

Here the full JIT exception text:

************** Exception Text **************
System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'System.Numerics.Vector3' from assembly 'System.Numerics, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.
at PlanetPlacementTool.tool.PlanetPlacementProject..ctor(String newProjectName, String[] newPlanetPaths, String newBackgroundImagePath)
at PlanetPlacementTool.NewProjectWindow.btn_create__Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

Maybe you forgot to include an external assembly to the download?
I hope that helps you identify the reasons for crash.

Also when I create a new project the menu forces me to add any "Image Background.jpg" in order to be able to press the "Create Project" button.
Here it would be a good idea to provide a decent default image with the application (maybe just black with green or blue riffle lines), and the user has additionally the option to switch to a costum one.

And finally a esthetical suggestion:
The EAW Icon looks pretty low res, here a nice Yuuzhan Vong icon would look better, or just a EAW one with better quality.

Regarding Mantis, you shouldn't be able to report bugs anonymously, that defeats the whole purpose of the bug tracker and more importantly the interaction with the person who reported the bug.

The Numerics package is part of the .net framework redistributable, so make sure you have .net framework 4.6.2 installed. If the problem persists, please report back, including information about your system (Windows version, ...) and installed .net framework version(-s).

Forcing the user to include a desired background was a conscious decision, as the picture size correlates to the base galaxy scale. But adding a default one is on my To-Do list for future updates. The internal version already sports a few improvements over the current public release which should make their way into the public version at a later date.

Until you have the default galaxy image ready, what size or resolution do you recommend for use?

I don't have any recommendations. I'm using a picture which is 1500x1500px, but there is no real need for it to be that size, or even square, the tool will force the picture to be square whilst maintaining the aspect ratio.

Noticed one bug but dont want to give my details on the bug tracker. the images i used are not centered neither is it the full image, only a corner

EDIT: not even 1500x1500 works. Hope a fix will be released because its very useful and i can see its going to be a good tool when the bugs are fixed :)

A few more details would be helpful, for example sending the image you tried to use as a background, or your system specs, installed .Net Framework versions etc.
The tool is working well for almost everyone, so I need a few more directions to replicate the bug.

Also: You only need an email and an user name to sign up and use our bug tracker. That's the same amount of information required to sign up here on ModDB or our forums or any other service. And using the bug tracker would keep all information I asked for earlier somewhat private.

I know the release is a bit dated. Nevertheless, I just wanted to ask if there is now a version of the tool in which the trade routes can be edited?
