Firefly was all about life on the frontier of space and the freedom of having a ship to call your own and only yourself to answer to. There were lots of parallels to the expansion of the west... including six shooters (the Alliance - the melding of the US and China into the last government on Earth - controls energy and more advance weapons) and characters including the preacher and town prostitute. There is a blend of action as well as snappy dialog and plot twists Joss Whedon is known for.
But That was the Show. Truely a Wonderful show, This is about the mod That's Based Off that, Remarkable Show.
It's Going to take place Before The shows Time, During The war Between Alliance And Independents.
The Mod will be Multi player based, Using DoD's Class System. It won't always be like that however, Their will be Classic Death matches abound. The Multi player games will take place
On Themed maps. Such as: ff_Serenity, ff_battle, andff_core just for Starters.
Once this is all done with, And your all playing it, Firefly might spawn more mods, Based off Firefly. Like, Firefly: Rp. But that's looking to far out at the moment.
However cool as that is, We still need the Team, We Still need:

Hi guys, i've been tinkering with a map of Serenity for HL2DM. It uses a few custom textures and props and it's still a bit rough. Here's a few screenshots:

I loved firefly and serenity was sad at the end but was awesome to see something continue it! Can't wait for this mod to be underway!
While the new Serenity shot looks cool, if the game takes place before the show, during the war, why are you designing the ship? Mal didn't get her until after the war.
I haven't seen the movie yet, I want to go home and watch the whole series again before I do.
Rest assured that no matter what state this mod ends up being, I won't dislike firefly for it!

Hi there,
I'm pretty new to the half-life 2 design environment, so I don't have any fancy portfolio or anything; but Firefly is not only my favorite show but one of my very favorite things in life, along with hl2 and the Source engine, so if at any point you think you might have use for the skills of a relative beginner in perimeter details or something, or even just a playtester, I'd LOVE to help out.
