Announcing Final Front: Iris Offensive for Red Alert 3! Formerly exclusively for Star Wars: Empire at War, the Final Front team has decided that the time has come to move on to the power of Red Alert 3. We have not totally abandoned Empire at War - at least, not yet. Details are still being worked out in this regard.
With the Red Alert 3 Engine, we have the power to go where no mod could go before on EAW. As we go about building the mod though, we are going to strive to bring good features from EAW over to Red Alert 3.
Final Front: Iris Offensive is a 3D RTS mod, set in the Stargate universe. Experience battles as never before, with stunning visuals and realistic battle control. There are two paths to take: You can conquer and enslave the Galaxy as the Goa'uld, or fight for freedom with the Tau'ri and their allies. Which way will you turn? The choice is yours.

We are on schedule for a space-only beta release sometime within the next three months. Now that sounds like a long period of time, but it will be here sooner than you think. Anyway, for those of you who are interested, the following are the confirmed units as of right now:
Goa'uld
Al'kesh bomber
Ha'tak

Tau'ri and Allies

Hopefully, there will be more, but we don't want the Tau'ri to be too powerful. That would just make it horribly unbalanced, something that we hope won't happen.

We do not have a solid release estimate at the moment, but we will update you with that information as the time approaches.

Its actually for RA3, and if we get enough help it wont be too long to get the mod out once RA3 comes out. Also many of our models can be brought over to RA3 from EAW so thats cuts out alot of time.
Just curious, but why did you make the switch to RA3; wouldn't it be a bit more restrictive for your goals?
From looking at the media you have released here so far, it appears that you much more space-bearing vessels than land created, so what is the place for space combat?
We switched to RA3 because the EAW community is getting smaller and smaller. Also with the sage engine we have alot more freedom to do what we like then what we could with the EAW engine as the EAW engine had almost everything hard coded in.
is this mod just for space, or is it both space and land, for some reason i am thinking it is just space, but maybe that is just another mod i am thinking of
do you guys have any idea when you will be releasing this mod. It looks like it has better graphics than stargate empire at war. Why has progress been so slow?
Progress has been slow because of life outside of the mod, with things coming up, and because of some other reasons behind the scenes. I can't say too much right now, but we have a really really big announcement coming soon. So stay tuned, cause a revolution is coming. . .
just wonderin how did u get the stargate like is that how u bring ground units in???
You guys really should release some videos of gameplay so far or a video showing all of the units you've created.
We are going to release some ingame footage as soon as we get most of the units balanced out, that way we can show you whats really in the mod.
