Turks Mod was the first mod I did after getting into FF7 modding. Basiclly, the mod replaces Cloud and Co. with Rufus and the Turks ( Turks now have black uniform ). Rufus replaces Cloud, Reno replaces Cid, Elena relpaces Tifa, Rude replaces Barret, Tseng replaces Reeve, Vincent replaces Rufus as President ( so he controls Cait Sith ). Turks enemies become Avalanche enemies ( Cid, Tifa, Dyne ).

A good attempt at making the Turks (Agents of the Shinra Company) playable. There has been work done on replacing most of the playable characters, and some of the enemies, while also doing impressive work such as changing the animations of the main character from using a sword to using a gun. I'd guess the modder managed to replace Cloud's animations with Vincent's, and then replace Vincent with someone else. I believe Cloud is not Rufus despite Rufus being Cloud, and instead Cloud is Sephiroth.

A lot of hard-to-do switching between character animations has been done here. I don't know how to manage that stuff. Fortunately in my own similar project modders had reached a point where we could use the AI-NPC-models themselves - which wasn't possible when this mod were released in 2008.

I've played this mod at least to the end of the first CD, but i've also used saves to play certain parts of the later game.

I don't support all the decisions taken here, such as some characters not being replaced such as Yuffie - instead i would have probably decided to replace all of them. The creator has replaced some of the main characters with the Turks, and others have gotten Turk-outfits but are still the old characters.

Also, there are some ugly bone-structure here, -as Elena, Rude and some other characters do not look perfect in battle or on the map. The work with the models could have been better - as i myself could make them more like the original NPC's.

The mod still provided material for me to take inspiration, and in some cases even to improve upon the models done here - certain models such as the Elena world model, Rufus world model, Rufus field model etc were even good enough to be re-used.

I'd say the mod is a 7 due to the buggy looking battle-models of certain heroes, and the fact the Turks does include some older members like Yuffie. Still it's an amazing mod based on the fact it were made in the old days, and as such a 7 seems suitable.
