Fate of Terra Nova is going to have classes sort of like TFC but it's not manditory to choose a class. Each class will have it's own set of skills. We will have several classes to choose from. A list of can be found on our website.
As stated above, each of these classes will have a set of skills and most classes will differ in the skills they have. The players themselves, when they choose the class, have little control over what skills they get. Sometimes, a class will need you to choose between 2 skill choices.
The interesting thing about HGHL is that players don't have to choose a class to play the game. If they so desire, players can completely customize thier characters and choose whatever skills they want. This gives you the ability to have different characters with different abilites. However, choosing a class will give you 1 extra skill then starting from scratch.

Well, our website is going to be down for awhile. I shut down my server to restart it and for some reason, the password that I thought was on the server... Is not. So I have to find another host, and create another website.
Well, I found a host. The Origin Gaming Network has agreed to host us... but only after they have seen consistant work or when the HL2 SDK is released. So... As far as a date, it's unknown. Sorry folks.

i sympathise with you over problems with finding a coder -- after all, coding is the basis of making a mod...
It's really frustrating when you find a coder, and he just ditches and doesn't contact you for months...
I don't know what to do, every coder I've found (at lest 6) hasn't contacted me after 2 days of joining the team. Except the last one, he contacted me 2 months after joining the team but that's it.
I'm going to work on some other projects. Maybe I can get some help after I've helped someone else...
A coder found me and is excited to be working on the team. Hope to get some good progress going in the near future.
