Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.
i'm currently very busy, and in my rare free time i work on the new "unlimited props" routine for the mod. because its so silent here i collected some screenshots which shows how i build and test stuff.
in 1,3,5 you see a not so friendly guy which tries out a chainsaw on the player (chainsaw AI melee code testing), also you see some new "usable" buildings which i test here (if they work together with physics, have correct size for AI and Vehciles), in 4 you see the same building from picture 3 inside. it will be one if the buyable player buildings.
picture 2 shows how the vehicle light is working (in original farcry there was only a passive textureshader, here you see a real dynamic light in front of the vehicle).
please respect that all (!) textures are wip or temporary test textures. its very complicated to find out good looking settings for all shaders and textures for all day and nighttimes interacting with realy dynamic light (i can't use prerendered light and shadow maps).
for example the porsche (rigged by sniper), have the same color during night (picture 2) like at day in picture 6.
the trick is, that i have a vehicle interiour light, which enlights the vehicle during night, so that you can see your vehicle even if the night is totally black and you drive in black environment (which hopefully never will happen *g*)
