This is the Latest Far East War Mod v20160918. Released on 18 September 2016
The Reason for the release date is, it is the 85th anniversary since the Mukden Incident. We commemorate the brave heroes that fought the battles. Also even though it has passed we wish you had a happy Mid-Autumn Festival
In this version, the mod is now compatible text languages for all languages, we have to thank all the translators for there great work!
There are more features that we have added into the mod. We have added reward units for both Chinese and Japanese
We also have fixed some bug issues
If your browser says its a virus it is because it is a .exe file from the internet, it is safe i made it the installer. If you are in doubt please try scan for viruses with windows defender.
To install:
1) (IMPORTANT STEP) If you have had any older version of Far East Mod, you must uninstall it, delete these files:
- Far_East_Mod.module
- Far_East_ModDLC1.module
- Far_East_ModDLC2.module
- Far_East_ModDLC3.module
- Far_East_ModOps.module
- and the folder called "Far_East_Mod"
or use the Uninstaller found in your COH directory, (but make sure after uninstall that the files and folders listed are all gone)
2) Then run the installer and Just follow on the installers onscreen instructions. Install it into your Company of heroes directory directory
3) Run using the shortcut made in your desktop or via startup command on steam or on your own shortcut. -dev -mod Far_East_Mod

this mod surprised me. i was expecting a vanilla game with new models but i got a trully enhanced vanilla game. this has better rng aiming, better combat interaction than vanilla and better range. even off map reinforcement feels like you bought them via buildings as they cost fuel. the integration of ammunition cost troops/buildings is really well done.
the fact that you can take out the machingunner in a machingunner emplacement, etc
sounds are very nice too.
the menu music is very good, i'd like to know its name.

now for the bugs,
so far had only 2 issue. little but annoying one.
the heavy machingun emplacement you build via enginneers show a wider range of fire before you place it than its real lateral range.
on the map i have played, the HQ of my ally were half invisible.

thanks to offmap reinforcement it fill in the little lack of troops to build in buildings. i would like to know if you plan to add some to build in the future.
(had only played one 2v2 game against AI with japan so far)
waiting for the japanese and chinese audio tracks :)
several false traduction in french and some other bugs. i have reported them in the bugs section of the forum.
japan seems really strong. its hard for the chinese.
no Chinese are good, if you know how to use them, im not a good COH player and i play Chinese and still get to win. its really, fun. for me when i play as the Japanese i feel like i have a hard time against the Chinese :P
and if you feel that way, if you think about it, Japan was stronger. but in the mod not very different
indeed, it depend of what commander you take. if you take the american one you have the best artilery and the best tank.
btw all my games always finish with one side overhelming the other side with strong tanks.(btw i wonder why the sherman cost only 50 fuel)
i know is only the AI but i feel like tanks are too devastating. against AI, if i have one sherman i win no matter what.
maybe the AI dont know how to deal with it. i have played no pvp game so far so i can't really tell since the AI don't always use alot of at units.

i had a crash problem. my version is 2.602
no it should work on both versions. try setting your settings lower or just turn off "object Damage" in Options and set "effect fidelity" and "effect density" to low
it can't work. when i click the FE shortcut. the Relic crash report window was opened. i dont know what is probelm. other non steam mods come into action without error.
Hi!!! i try this effect fidelity and density but game still crash no matter which vesion of mod and game i use.1st problem was 25- 30 min off playing it is simply crashes and says "crash report" after changes in opstions i played like 45 min and still crashes but it says "failed to create dump file".Wtf?I have strong pc but i simply dont understand what i have to do?I have coh on steam and mod and works fine but problem is my friend dont have it:(.Any suggestion?

yes my bad ive just installed it and it loads right up to the Coh Menu click on e.g. Sp Campaign Mission it will load right up to the press any key prompt then it crashes any ideas why and how to solve it? my COH is non-steam v2062

Each time playing for China, after 15 minutes i have bugsplat, what to do?

hi, my game ver is V2.700.2.42, no sound, just silence what so ever but it didn't crash..
but if i play this mod in ver 2.602, it has sound but crash a LOT..
did i miss something??
