This is a Mod for the PC Version of Fallout: New Vegas.

It adds an all new campaign selected from the New Game tab on your Main Menu.

This mod only requires a copy of New Vegas, right out of the box*.

- Vast Fallout Lore-Inspired Story to Explore and Experience with Rich Characters & Quests-

New Game StartNew Game Start

This is a near Total Conversion for Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout: Project Brazil adds an all new story around a new player character, an adopted resident of Vault 18. You'll discover a pitched battle between the Survivalist Raiders, the New California Republic, and The Super Mutants, which shapes the politics and events leading to the NCR's invasion of the Mojave. The story takes place in 2260 - many years before the "Courier" awakes in New Vegas, while the Enclave struggles to rise again on the West Coast.

The Mod branches off from New Vegas right from the New Game menu. The full campaign will contain 16 Main Quests and several side stories, all related to the player's journey through Vault 18 and the wasteland of San Bernardino. Their choices at each stage will shape the next, creating 2 plathroughs worth of unique content.

The download of the First Instalment comes with a custom installer package containing a few optional add-ons for your game, like the SGhi.info REVELATION Interface, and DLC compatibility patches.

The game features several hours of new exploration and game play, with each branch of the story telling a new tale for repeat playthroughs.

2. Features

An Alternate Start in Vault 18 with a New Player Character and Main Quest.
A New Intro Video to really give it that "New Game"feeling.
An Ornate Main Quest Line with Compelling Side Quests rich in Fallout & Character Lore.
Hours of Voice Acting recorded at pro-quality in Radian-Helix Media's Tucson, Az Studio.
A Very Large Worldspace in California - The Black Bear Mountain National Forest.
An Epic War between The Super Mutants, The Survivalist Raiders, and The New California Republic.
A Pirate Radio Station DETH 981 with 2 New DJs and Quest + Crafting + Perk Unlocking Segments.
A News Radio Station called NCRPR - New California Republic Radio - with quest updates in the News.
5 Potential Human Companions and 2 Robot Companions available depending on player choices.

[This mod has nothing to do with the country of Brazil. No, seriously, it's not The Country of Brazil. I swear. Project Brazil is a working title. The artistic form and story themes are heavily influenced by the Monty Python veteran Terry Gilliam, and the classic 1985 film "Brazil." It's also a throw back to Black Isle Studios, if you're into Irish Myth. You can read more about us on our fan-run Wikipedia Article. How cool is that?]

3.Installation

Step1
Download the latest version of the First Instalment.

Step2
Use Fallout Mod Manager or Nexus mod Manager to open the 7zip file. Or manually install.

Step3
Using your favourite Mod Manager, apply Archive Invalidation.

Step4
Check ProjectBrazil.esm in your DATA tab on the Launcher, or your Mod Manager.
Also check F:PB DLC Control Plugin.esp if you have DLC installed.

I was surprised to hear we had won awards this year. I found out about them by checking to see who won!

We are overshooting our planned release date by several months while struggling to keep up the energy to finish, and with Fallout 4 released, the big league behemoth, a lot of people expected that to eclipse us completely.

But much to our great surprise, we not only won a nice nod in the top 100, we were awarded an Editor's Choice and won a Player's Choice to go along with the one we got in 2013. It seems our audience since then has tripled, and more people than ever are waiting on us to be done.

Today, we are celebrating the first resurrection of Project Brazil. On January 15th, 2012, we brought the project back from oblivion when RickerHK joined the team.

I had completed a major stint with a broadcast company, running around chasing the military and private aid organizations, and I came home to watch a girl I loved get married to another guy. I kinda realized staring up at the sky that night outside the wedding venue that I hadn't been there in a long time. I'd left home and not looked back since I'd quit FPB in 2010. So I restarted Project Brazil and decided that I'd do this to reorient my portfolio from working for others to working more towards creative agency. I was tired of waiting to be given opportunities to prove myself. I had to create something of my own.

I drew this the night after the wedding, sitting on my friend's bed, to give myself an idea of where to go:

Black Bear National Forest Map

By February that world looked like this:

When we released in May 2013, that world had morphed into this one, which to be honest was very barren and almost lifeless, failing to justify is scope and scale, and it wasn't scripted with quests yet either:

2015 has been our most productive year to date:

For our release of BETA 200, NafNaf_95 and I spent 2015 turning that old world into this one, replete with original 3d assets, new textures, renovated level designs, new sky boxes, new grass, and it's chock full of quests coded by Rick and Seddon, and unique places to explore:

We start off the New Game with brand new loading screens featuring art from Cameron August:

In March of 2012, we had developed the new Vault 18 using vanilla assets. It took about 3 months to build basically from scratch with the help of Cambragol's Vault 88 resources, and Meo3000's extra models.

I have spent the last few months redeveloping our art assets with a wholly new approach, and it just wouldn't be fair to leave our ancient starting area in the dust bin after renovating so much else. So we've gone back to re-voice some old lines with a now complete vision, making the antiquated Nerd/Athlete branch a re-branded Warrior / Scientist path, the Vault has a new atrium that does away with the labyrinth, and makes use of a hub and spoke system with lots of signs. There is virtually no way to get lost down there now. :p

Tau 34RUS and I have basically totally renovated all the armours you'll see in game to their new higher resolution and more elaborate design. Vlad really outdid himself on the new security armours. They look stunning!

So for Part 2, you'll quickly see a brand new Project Brazil. New Armours, Weapons, Textures, from the first loading screen to the final credits.

Keep up to date with us here as we fight our way across 2016! We'll be releasing as soon as we are able. There's still a good chunk of programming left to be done!

You can read more about our progress on the Design Documents Found Here. In the mean time, you can keep track of us on ModDB, Fallout Nexus, or Facebook. We've got a thriving online community centred around each one.

Cheers

So will this mod be feature complete before fallout 4 (albeit buggy)? I understand that a RC version is planned for March 2016, but I assume that would just be just a more stable build?

Thanks for all your hard work!

As I said in every new post so far this year, we'll be missing 4 large quests and some side quests, but they aren't essential to play the campaign from start to finish in BETA 200.

We'll be bug free and feature complete in March 2016. We'll start issuing updates the day after BETA 200 launches and keep going until it's done.

There is no way they can finish this before Fallout 4 comes out.

Yeah, but it'll probably still have a better story than whatever brain-dead story Bethesda put to paper.

Project Brazil has to be one of the most hopeful mods ever. If it were to be picked up by ZeniMax, and offered as a DLC - I would pay for it tenfold. This is honestly one the best mods I have ever played, with an amazing storyline and astounding voice acting, very professionally-done. The new Enclave "Patriot" uniforms are amazing, and despite my personal enmity against America, I wear one often. I guess I can coldly state "I wear this as a big fuck-you." Even in its current state, this is incredibly…
