This happens to my first real mod project for Fallout 3, using the G.E.C.K., that I plan to release to the general public. It's been in the works for a couple of weeks now, and already I've made such PROGRESS that Karl Marx himself would BOOKMARK this page. And yes, I know my Photoshop work is sexy. Enjoy!
The mod's questline begins as soon as you step out of Vault 101 into the Capital Wasteland. You discover the location to the secret base of a neo-Communist organization that seeks to provide shelter, food and protection to the less fortunate survivors in the Wastes. You are given the opportunity to join forces with this group; will you either gain their trust or deceive them, help fuel the rage of inner revolt or douse the flames, lead the group to arms against the Enclave or their own imminent destruction at your hands?
— approximately 3-4 hours of added gameplay!
— seamless content that fits with the retro theme and atmospheric balance of Fallout 3!
— a 7-part questline, with engaging story-telling elements, unique characters, challenges and meaningful outcomes!
— 4 brand new maps to explore, scavenge and make your own!
— a 10-track Soviet-esque radio station, with it's own DJ and crazy sidequests!
— a multitude of custom items and rewards!
When is the mod going to be released?
I'm hoping for an early as possible release so I can start on the Fallout: New Vegas mod I have planned, but I set a self-deadline of Summer 2011. I won't pull a Black Mesa.
Will there be voice acting?
Not in the initial release, no. I'd rather concentrate on building the maps, designing the quests and working out the kinks and bugs after it's done than finding and casting voice actors. But, eventually.
Alas, comrades, it is unfortunate, but RedRev is over.
My computer was damaged, and after the format, I lost all the content I had for this game.
Unfortunately, I do not have the motivation to continue working with these, as there are other game tools and mods that I am going to begin to undertake. I have closed the Steam Group and the official website. I would love to upload all the stuff I had, it was maybe 50% done. But I can't... ):
If anybody would like to use my ideas, feel free, just add a nice credit for me!
A brief mission statement from the developer of RedRev.
