I've read the Lexicanum up and down and read through many issues of the White Dwarf and I am very sure I don't even have a glimpse of the entire story of the Warhammer Universe. Dawn of War shows one campaign from one Company of one Chapter of the Space Marines and then a few more campaigns but you haven't seen anything of the true size of the gameworld, I agree.

the games only show a small portion of warhammer, which is vastly detailed
