Sometime in the next few days, a download for V8.0 should appear. Most of you probably don't care, as you have already tried the beta, but V8.0 brings a load of bug-fixes to the table, as well as giving me a stable platform on which I can mod the DLC from. That means in a few weeks you should see the DLC mods start to be released as well. It's been busy for me in the past few weeks, so my mod time is very limited, so I thought now would be a good time to release V8.0, it's bug free as far as I can tell, and I can always release patches. The list of bugs and issues fixed in V8.0 is posted below:
-Butch's mom's health is tripled
-Suppressed weapons are now set to be silent weapons
-.44 Magnum damage increased, and the icon issue is fixed
-The Well Rested effect can now go away
-Enemies don't use ammo anymore
-Certain WIP or cut content removed from the wasteland (plasma rifle, ICBM targeter, MF cells, etc)
-Smuggler's End now looks AND acts like a USP
-Grenade and mine prices lowered
-7.62mm and 5.4mm ammo is now easier to find in the wasteland
-The Arctic Warfare Magnum variants are easier to find
-The FN P90 can't be repaired with 5.56 rifles
-Power Armors are now modded properly
-Sleeping in a bed while losing health no longer kills, and the sleeping fade-out effect is fixed
-Fire damage increase
-The M4A1 model no longer has a part of a holo sight on it
-Liberty Prime can now actually fight
-3D sounds now play, as I've changed them all to mono
-Large animals drop more meat upon death
-The new addiction system is tweaked so it's much easier to get addicted
-Drug and Alcohol addiction effect names tweaked
-New weapon added: Beretta M92, to help make the Desert Eagle more rare
-ATMs don't mention loans anymore, as they don't exist
-The player need speed options in the terminal are fixed
-The Lawbringer and Contract Killer perks don't give you karma for fingers/ears brought in (not a mod problem, but it is unbalanced)
-The new Megaton store Ammunation store is open for business
-The Super Stimpak effectiveness has been boosted
-The Alien Power Cells cost reduced
-Paladin Vargas no longer wears a Recon Helmet
-You can no longer use toilets/urinals if you have the need to crap and piss turned off
-Some weapons now have selective fire modes (semi/full auto)
-Trying to level up past level 40 causes freezes, level cap set at 40
-Colonel Autumn carried a 10mm pistol, replaced with an Beretta M92
-The AA-12 Drum Mag was too rare, now you can find it on enemies
-The AWM was too common, added the XM8 assault rifle into the mod to balance this out
-Tesla armor has been replaced by the Enclave Elite BDU
-Super Mutants can now equip the SCAR-L
A quick note: Fallout 3 Reborn V8.0 will require FOSE to work properly, as the new Air-Support elements and fire-mode switch need FOSE. Also, I've found that GFWL causes instabilities with Reborn. Also note that currently the only air-support available is the AC-130U, more will be added in later patches.
Awesome! Perfect timing since I just got the game after playing it at a friends house. Kinda sucked that you can carry so many stims and ammo with no penalty.
Yeah, my friend was bitching at me for only carrying 10 stimpaks around the wasteland (he carries 250, apparently), then I showed him my mod, and he got owned in the first gunfight, fun times.
umm if FOSE is needed could you put it up, like a download becuase I have tried to install FOSE before hand on the fallout manager and it didnt work, so if you could put up a working fose that would be awesome. and thanks for putting V8 up :)
