Fallout 3 Reborn V7 HARDCORE Update news

Alright, I've been promising a few of my "followers" that a Hardcore mode is on the way. Now that is a fact, as I've started work on it, and I've got about 10 new weapons in already. First off, I'd just like to say that all the crybaby fanboys of Fallout 3 should stop reading now (and preferably leave my mod page forever). Hardcore mode is NOT for wimps. An example: the old "Chinese Assault Rifle" deals 11 damage per shot. That's great, for a pellet rifle; Hardcore changes things up a bit. The "Chinese Assault Rifle" is now an AK-47 that fires 7.62x39mm rounds. It also sports a new model, texture and firing sound effect. Now for the fun part: this beast deals 76 damage per shot. You will die in Hardcore , unless you use tactics, cover, and surprise to your advantage.

Honestly, I wanted to do something like Hardcore since I started work on V7, but I knew that a lot of people wouldn't enjoy it, only a certain kind of gamer is interested in more immersive and realistic games. The DLC mods have been delayed by the fact that Bethesda sucks, and gave about zero support for their cash-cow DLC. Hardcore has been quite fun to develop, and you can expect to see around 50 real-life weapons, and their proper ammo types. Also, features from V6 will be revived, such as greenery and reduced radiation.

In other mod-related news, work on Under has begun. I don't have much done yet, but I can release some of the basic information. Under is a "full" mod, in the sense that it includes a whole new story, setting, gameplay style, etc. Obviously, it is going to attempt to be very realistic, so one shot will kill or cripple. I am also going for quality over quantity, when it comes down to NPCs. Each NPC will have many speech options, and hopefully the voice acting will be more convincing then Fallout 3's. For example, if you're totally rude to a character, don't expect them to help you, or even bother talking to you again, unlike Fallout 3, in which they just forget about your rudeness after a line or two of dialogue. The gameplay will be first-person only, and I'm hoping that a first-person cover-system will be possible as well. I'll talk more about Under when I get some more work done.
