Resurrection is a modification for Fallout 2. It has a completely new story and takes place in New Mexico, sometime between the events of Fallout 1 and 2. It's as if there had been a third classic Fallout game.

The English version of Fallout 1.5: Resurrection is out!

Fallout 1.5: Resurrection EN v1.4

All you need in order to be able play Fallout 1.5: Resurrection is a full installation of Fallout 2, any version should work (no matter whether from Steam, GOG or CD/DVD). Resurrection already contains patch 1.02 for Fallout 2, as well as the High Resolution Patch for resolution options, and the engine tweak Sfall which introduces neat functional changes to Fallout 2. The installer will take care of the whole installation process.

If you happen to have any problems with installation or with running the game, we recommend checking the "Known Issues and Their Solutions" section in the Resurrection readme. Otherwise, feel free to send us an email or contact us on our forum and we'll try to help you. We're also interested in your opinion of the game and the experiences from your playthroughs. Lastly, let us know if you come across any bugs so we can fix them. Apart from the aforementioned forum and email, you can reach us here on ModDB, on our Facebook or Twitter.

Enjoy the game!

You can also get the missing DLL files and simply put them in the game directory where FALLOUTW.EXE is located. Worked for me some time ago. ;)

Feels more like an official game than a mod, with intelligently designed quests and ways to complete them. I've finished Rat Hole using Winston's diplomacy skills and have been enjoying it a lot so far.

You have installed DirectX from that link and the same message about DirectX still appears? Isn't there different message now by any change? What is your OS?
Try compatibility mode set to WinXP. Try various Graphics modes settings in the Configuration Program.

The game has 10 years time limit. But that's more than planty of time, no need to worry about that.

Original Fallout 2 has 13 years limit, we changed it to 10 years for the story reason. And since the worldmap is smaller than in Fallout 2, you don't need to travel through it that much like in Fallout 2.

It can't be changed. It's hardcoded in our executable, because there wasn't Sfall with this function in the time we were making it. But it's possible that with the next version of Resurrection, we'll move this function to Sfall. Not guaranteed though, it's just something we're looking into.

There's in-game time that pass mainly when you travel or sleep and after 10 years of in-game time from start of the game, the game ends.

Any way to get rid of the turn-based crap? One of the best things Fallout: Tactics had was there's a real-time option to use compared to the turn-based method.

There's no way to get rid of turn-base greatness in Fallout 2 :)

Fren (remember Sulik?),
if there was no this turn-based thingie in FO, FO2 and here in FO 1.5, you (and all of us as well) would be riddled with more holes than my grandma's old socks:):):)
In FoT, you had so many things to take cover behind, but HERE? Ya lucky if ya meet a Ghoul patrol (goddamn rotting maggot farms - Cerberus, FO3) on a map that has a wall or a shack for you to zoom behind faster than the Road Runner. Goddamn Ghouls! i HATEHATEHATE those muthafrackers... But I love the guns they leave behind:)
