FOS is a singleplayer RPG modification for Half-life 2.
The mod is set in a futuristic city called 'Sicyon'. The player takes on the role of a Freelancer, an individual who picks up any job available to them.
As the player you will be able to explore a huge city with many different enviroments for the player to explore. 100's of fully interactive NPC's, and 100's of jobs for them to undertake.
The game will focus around a central plot of epic proportions, a story full of twists, turns, and intrigue.

A lot of work went into this mod (I'm a slightly older and less ambitous monkeyboy).
Well a fair bit of work for what was basically two people the majority of the time, I'd love to see some of the ideas return and prehaps get realised in the form of an HL2 mod, but we'll see, it might happen.
i think this mod is dead. the website is down. nothings been posted in forever. damn and this looked like a GOOD mod. *sigh* But ill keep it in my modwatch just in case.

HL2 ain't gonna be out for ages now :( So basically not much is happening but I assure you this mod is not dead, I've started working on some of the design stuff, but don't expect anything amazing (if anything at all) till hl2 comes out and we can start actually making some content.
its my understanding that with the loss of their main modeler and some additional division within the team that this mod is dead.

Jobs are basically missions,
the way it's currently going think the way Dues Ex works only possibly with two story paths instead of the one (dunno if we'll have the time to do this yet though)
Are the "jobs" the regular crappy stuff they put in MMOs or is it "jobs" like something Agent 47 would be employed to do?
this and entropy definetly are on my "looking-forward-to" mod list. I love the idea of RPG gameplay in half life.. keep it up!
If this works out, Fall of Sicyon could turn out to be an awesome mod. Judging mostly by the Military Police Model, it seems to have character, of its own too. It doesn't go for a 'Realistic' look and thats good. Makes it look different from the standard fare, which is a good thing because it seems it won't be your average mod.
