Fall of Saigon is a Vietnam War modification for the Half-Life 2: source engine. The modification will be based in the realism of the Vietnam War, trying to portray things, events, and places as they actually were. The gameplay will also reflect as much of the realistic feeling as the development team is able to portray. The game will recreate the feeling of the jungle, or place the player in Saigon, or anywhere in between. The player will be emersed in all the sights and sounds of the jungle and will be able to use them to their advantage, and if they're not careful, it could be as dangerous as the enemy. Lots has been going on at Fall of Saigon headquarters, and today we have an exciting news post to share with you. Raygae and AwesomePossum have finished off our first Player model for the USA team. This will be the player model for the Rifleman class. Raygae is already hard at work on the next model for our sniper class. So expect more updates on that later. Our weapon animator The_Unknown_1 has been working hard on getting our weapons ready to go in game, and today we can show off our AK47 and Ka-Bar knife Animations.

I would suggest making it fairly realistic (sort of like the vietnam expansion for project reality) with supression and stuff (if that's possible, i don't know what the source engine is incapable of)

I have a few suggestions:
As mapping goes, would it be possible to make a full scale jungle map where camouflage is the key element? That would be awesome
Also, I wouldn't be sure on how hard it would be to code this, but in a 'hardcore/hard' difficulty setting for mp and/or sp, weapon jamming, waterlogging and instead of using bullets, guns use clips (for instance, reloading no matter how much ammo left, you will lose 1 clip).
And one last one, how about a health system like max payne? Where you get shot in certain areas and different parts are injured (E.g, shot in leg, run slower, in arm you aim slower, chest run slower and can't sprint as long, head=dead)
Just please don't turn this into a black ops, cause that would be horrible D:

All of your suggestions are good ones and it is all up to our coder. We have talked to a second coder who plans to join. If they can code anything that adds to realism, while keeping it fun, we would approve.
We will be announcing a map contest with cash and prizes for jungle maps as soon as we are in Alpha.
