Fall of Saigon is a Vietnam War modification for the Half-Life 2: source engine. The modification will be based in the realism of the Vietnam War, trying to portray things, events, and places as they actually were. The gameplay will also reflect as much of the realistic feeling as the development team is able to portray. The game will recreate the feeling of the jungle, or place the player in Saigon, or anywhere in between. The player will be emersed in all the sights and sounds of the jungle and will be able to use them to their advantage, and if they're not careful, it could be as dangerous as the enemy. Grab a rifle and enlist today.

I think the face needs a bit of work, but it's really good!

Thanks for taking the time to post feedback, compliments and constructive criticism. This is just for Alpha. So it will be tweaked by Beta, with your guys specific feedback so thanks.

Today I actually bought a Vietnam Helmet. This darker helmet is actually just used late in the war. Its the version I bought. Early in the war they used a much lighter simpler camo. The guy I bought my helmet from had one of those also. Finally some helmets had plain covers and others were greatly faded and the camo almost invisible.

Other than the previously mentioned face, it kind of looks like that the legs are a bit too small and out of proportion. Other than that, great work!

Yea, agreed looks like he's short-legged. But since you've already textured it, its too late to change that now.

Not to difficult to fix, we'll have it changed for the final version of the model.

The helmet is too deep it should look roundish and they didn't have that kind of belt (I know this is a alpha model :)). I own a Vietnam helmet with jungle camo along with outher vietnam gear. If you want, I can take pictures and send them to you of but other than that it looks awesome!!!

Wow, finally a new "old-school" Vietnam game..with graphics i like. Vietcong 2 was a disaster, so try not to make the same mistakes, guys. so far it looks good. Vietcong 2 tried to be too realistic, and the result was terrible. Hope this gonna be the one.
