To celebrate the release of Eye of the Storm episode one the development team would like to present some final information and a trailer for the mod.
First episode offers over 30 minutes of game time as well as the option to replay with developer commentary turned on, offering insight into some of the issues encountered and design decisions made during development. There are also some bonus maps which add another 20-30 minutes of game time to the mod.
You will also notice some new textures, new models, English dialogue and a replacement for the
crowbar. A complete list of the development team is also now available at eots.half-life2.cz
Hopefully this update answers the frequently asked questions and will satisfy those who are eagerly awaiting the release. And if you want to see small preview of episode II, head to our pages!
Heeeey, very slick, I like the vid. Thirty minutes isn't a whole lot of playing time, but this looks to be pretty fun judging by what I've seen. Great job, guys!
This is exactly what the mod world needs, short episodic games with fun and well developed gameplay. Remember googles motto, release early, release often.
Looks great, I really like the style, reminds me of HL1 days
30 minutes of quality game-time outweighs 2 hours of low-q game time :) (at least in my opinion)
Nice release.
Oh, not bad. I seen new models and big GUN! all looks good.
I wouldn't say this mod offers 'over 30 minutes of gameplay', I finished it in barely 15 minutes... Nevertheless, this mod showed some quality mapping and interesting storytelling. Adding developer commentary and bonus maps is all nice and well, but I don't think it really fits a mod of this size. Anyway, keep it up and make sure the next episode is a bit longer!
Very nice mod, the mapping is awesome.
so, L we meet again
KIRA will prevail!
Všechno je skvělý!Líbilo se mi intro ;)
Jen tak dále.
Ještě to chce český dabing :D
Retards why I should talk in English
Fantastic single player experience. I'm really looking forward to the next episode!
If you felt it was too short play it on hard and checkout the branching paths, it took me roughly an hour when I really took time to appreciate the level design.
Try to do as you did in ravenholm.. Make the game longer with puzzles, scenes and stuff like that ;)
Excellent work one and all! Between this and Rebellion, we've got a real single-player renaissance coming on.
Looks nice. Nice level design on maps but the start looked terrible.
Nice little mod indeed. Lights are a bit dark in open areas and cinematic intro doesn't look very good, else fights are enought intense and the last bonus map put the presure after some waves. Some puzzles will be welcomes as say uheldige. Good work anyway!
W000000000000000000oo000000oooT!
I just beat it. Crap that ending cut scene was horrifying...
Cool mod, but the canal boat scene is way too hard on any mode other than easy!
The mod was really well built, i wold say though that the firefights could have been made more longer so you use the surroundings and fight you forward like in HL2EP1, i felt everything was very much systmeatic. But otherwise really enjoyable.
nice episode! fun, fast and fun ;)
Short but well designed!
I installed it and it wouldn't show up in my Games list. I restarted Steam, too. Please help.
Do you use Vista? Sometimes the setup app choses the "Programs" folder instead of "Programs(x86)"
Sorry to tell you that, zeldar, but you fail, no seriously, get your punk-*** off ModDB and don't ruin this place with troll comments on some places.
It's a better mod than the prequel, yet still, due to the overly present action the beauty steps behind - what's the use of a wonderful cityscape when you do not find the time to look at it due to combine constantly raping you from every direction ^^;
finally got a around to playing this...loved it.
a good 26 mins gamplay (timed it for those who were complaining about the length.) but then again I was playing carefully
yeah cant wait for ep 2
very nice, btw what song is that?
Looks interesting. good luck.
30 min = too little. Unless it has the A.I. Director(which is somewhat impossible right now).
