You wake up from a feverish vivid dream and find yourself stuck in a strange mixture of structure gel and what appears to be flesh. You remember this is Station Rain, one of the underwater research stations belonging to Carthage Industries.

This mod really scared me. Short but very well done.

Wow, this was a mixed bag, yet an enjoyable one. I haven't played Soma mods in years, and I picked up the thread at this one, from my checklisted mods.

First, I don't say this often but the mod was way too dark for the most part. Combining this with the blurry visions of the game I had to massively turn up gamma to be able to progress at all, and even at high gamma levels I often just blindly tried to move ahead in the darkness. I really could have used a flashlight in this one.

The story didn't impress me as much as in previous episodes I've played, but for the short playtime it held up, no real complaints on it.

The atmosphere, the visuals and the monster encounters however were very impressive. I got scared for the first time in years on this engine, by a monster following me into the crawlspace in the fleshy tunnels, and after multiple encounters with it I was unable to tell if it sees me or not. Sometimes it randomly decided it does, some other time I was able to get away because either its AI malfunctioned or it did not see me after all. Intense, nonetheless.

It was a great experience, it was rather short with a basic-ish plot, however due to the darkness I really have to take söme from the score. 8/10, solid work, can't wait to continue with the next release!

Short, but very intensive. Continuation of Extinction mini-franchise.
