This mod is set in Games Workshop's, great Warhammer 40,000 ( 40k ) universe. Each map pits Imperial Space Marines against the Tyranid swarm and the Legions of Chaos, competing in a series of mission objectives, culminating in a battle to decide the fate of the planet. The Black Legion has a short lived victory, by capturing the Abandoned Bunker amidst the trenches of some un-named world. Here we see GunGuy of the Blood Ravens putting up a solid defence with boltpistol and chainsword.
The Abandoned Bunker is the central objective of a new map in Beta 9 called csm_trench, a foggy, rain soaked, artillery battered maze of twisting muddy fields.
In the kill feed (top right corner) you can see the icons for a chain-axe, a new melee weapon in Beta 9, that can be equipped by the chaos space marines.
Liking the back and forth exchange of kills for each team. Sometimes one team justs stands there, staring at the player capturing when they could be proactive and stop the other team from interrupting the capture.
