Sorry for the delays between updates, a lot of stuff has been happening recently behind the scenes which I'll detail in a news post around this time next week. Thanks for the continued support in the development of Evolution of Combat IV, it's great to have such a good community!
Today we're pleased to announce the launch of Patch #2. This is another big fix and unfortunately is not available through our auto-updater like normal so will need to be downloaded from our website. Instructions on how to do that can be found here. Anyone downloading the mod from today onwards from ModDB will already have the latest version of the game with Patch #2 applied so no need to worry, but if you've installed the mod before today then you will have to update by following the previously linked tutorial. You'll know if you need to update because you will see a screen when you launch the mod telling you the appropriate information.
^ This is the message you will see if you need to update your game to Patch #2. You can find the install instructions to do so by clicking here.
So what exactly does Patch #2 do? We've worked to fix vehicles in this latest patch, so now maps like Death Star Trench will function correctly and running the devmap command will allow you to spawn working vehicles and NPCs. This was a massive task and it really helps to expand the function of multiplayer! Along with the vehicle fix in multiplayer, we've also added some new saber throwing mechanics and effects. A thrown saber can now get stuck in walls, and the wait timer to pick it up has been removed. As well as these two big new features/fixes we've also worked on fixing reported bugs in singleplayer and multiplayer.

^ Vehicles now work in multiplayer.
We really hope you'll enjoy everything the new content brings to the mod and fixes. We're looking forward to seeing everyone in-game! Remember you can keep up to date with the mod here on ModDB, or alternatively by following us on Twitter @EoCIVnews for smaller updates that aren't big enough for a news post! If you need any help updating to patch 2, also don't forget about our Discord chat. There's a great community over there that will be willing to help!
