Europe in Ruins takes the fast paced, intense and surreal combat that you've come to know from Company of Heroes and combines it with persistent environment, ever changing meta-gameplay and ongoing war. The modification sees you creating and commanding your very own battalion in which you can customise with any units and upgrades you wish; Company of Heroes strategy has never had so much choice. Not only do you get to build up your battalion, but as you units battle, they will gain and retain all the experience they have earned, carrying over from battle to battle; going from green to elite! Not only do units gain veterancy, but your battalion as a whole increases in effectiveness through doctrine unlocks and other advantages. Each of these are designed so that the player can tailor their battalion to their own likes and play styles. The combinations choices are endless!

Europe in Ruins: Reinforcements adds to the already ground breaking game play of Europe in Ruins by adding in the British Commonwealth, the Panzer Elite, new game mode, a bunch of new maps, the new Advantages system and a whole new back-end launcher with new innovative systems for army purchase and persistence. What is in this latest release:

  • Play all four Company of Heroes armies (British, Panzer Elite, American, Wehrmacht)
  • A new game mode: Reinforcements. Which sees players coming in at different stages of the battlefield.
  • The ability to choose Allied/Axis attack
  • 34 maps specifically designed for Europe in Ruins as well as the ability to play all of your old Company of Heroes favourites!
  • A brand new launcher
  • Complete persistency, All units retain vet, and continue to use it in their next battles.
  • A complete installer that contains the Europe in Ruins files, launcher, and maps
  • Basic unit unlock doctrines
  • A new soft capping availability system
  • New Advantages System

The Europe in Ruins team is happy to announce our largest update since the Reinforcement update.

Version 0.0.6 is here folks and it's just a starting point in the content that the team will be delivering to our community over the next couple of weeks. Check out the list below for the full details of the patch changes.

this is a work in progress, and each ability will be designated as complete or incomplete.
These will be added through hotfixes.

Repair Changes

1. Repair was removed from all units. This also means the Repair Bunker & Bergetiger was removed.
(For now, it may be coming back later)

2. Each vehicle has the ability to purchase a repair kit, the repair kit's repair rates are based on the unit type.
200 HP for light vehicles. 400 HP for medium vehicles. 600 HP for heavier vehicles. 1000 HP for extra heavy vehicles.

3. The repair kit costs vary from 10 Mun to 150 Mun, based on the unit. They only have one use but there's doctrines that expand this.

4. When triggered in game, your vehicle will be practically immobile and will reload significantly slower.
The repair durations are 60s/120s/180s/240s. Time it wisely.

Obviously this is all one big test, we expect and hope that you provide constructive feedback during the trial period rather than just bashing it. A lot of these modifiers and details are still subject to alteration, it is the community that can have a large impact on its future.

In Game Art Changes

 - User Interface has been re-skinned and updated
 - Menu Screen has been updated, now includes 3 new backgrounds
 - Platoon Buttons now no longer stand in icons.
 - Many other tweaks

A rework of the level system has been implemented.
each level is 100 points above the last, level 1: 100, level 2 : 200, level 3 : 300, etc... except for the 200pnts needed between 7th and 8th.

Max 200% Xp

eg, Im rank 5, playing a rank 3 TEAM
my modifiers are:
2 - 5 = -3 * 20% (60%) = 40% of win, loss, pp gain.

The last question to answer is, WHY DO I NEED TO GAIN XP and LEVEL?
In order to unlock your doctrine tiers, and advantage tiers, you need a corresponding xp rank as follows:

               Xp Level 1 : Doctrine Tier 1 Unlocked
               Xp Level 2 : Advantages Tier 1 Unlocked
               Xp Level 3 : Doctrine Tier 2 Unlocked            
               Xp Level 4 : Advantages Tier 2 Unlocked

Firstly I love the idea behind your mod (even though I can't play it myself due to unstable internet connection), you guys deserve all the credit that's thrown at you.

Secondly, Have you guys seen the mod call Operation Market Garden, it looks as if they've taken everything from your mod and slap in a few different things. I actually looks nearly identical to your mod in game. Just thought I'd inform you of this; don't want to see hard work getting stolen, it's just not right; you know?

Thank-you for your message, EIR is aware of OMG and I believe they recieved tacit approval to use "some" assets additionally Fl made some components of the code available to the public recently.

Eir wishes OMG the best of luck in thier endevours, but we should be out as you can see with a very new and very exiting edition of EIR so keep tuned and get ready to fight for Europe again!
