Time for some news. I'm afraid this week we have zero media. I will however boost your imagination skills with some great writing. As for the game side of things, the semester has finally died and we can now relax. This has meant much better productivity for the team, though nice sunny days don't make programming seem like much fun.

We've been progressing on all front, modelling is nearly complete for the first release, mapping is moving steadily thanks to two new texture artists who joined up, they are Indigo and Pomperi. We've now fully voiced the marines and the onboard computer "Nillia" which will say things like "You are deserting the battlefield, I am taking control of this ship". Thanks to the great response our cry for voice actors has gotten us, we will be adding even more voice talent including radio chatter between sentry turrets placed on capital ships. The sense of immersion should be pretty intense, so I'm excited about that. On the programming side, we are working slowly to eliminate all the bugs, and there are lots. Partially due to valve engine updates (they pulled us a fast one) and partly due to the sheer scope of this mod. The good news is all the core features are working and stable. We have begun work on bringing capital ships ingame and it is looking quite promising.

While all this great progress is going on. We are however lacking in one major area. That is skinning. We are desperatly looking for some skinning talent or our hopes of a july release are pretty much crushed (unless you want to play with purple and black checkered capital ships). If you have what it takes, please follow the instructions on the Join the Team page and get your application to us.

We will probably not be posting any new screenshots due to serious overhauls happening all over the place, but once they do come, the screenshots will be near complete and show off all the features that will be available in the final game. Oh, and terribly sorry for the lateness of this news, I'm sure you can all understand that I had some technical issues to get through last sunday.

That will be all for now, we really need those skinners, so I hope you guys can come and help us complete this ambitious project, and keep supporting us!

Purple and black checkered ships are in this summer. It's considered very stylish.
