Estranged is a work in progress mod that tells the story of a lone fisherman whose ship is stranded on a mysterious island during a violent storm. Explore the rich environments and meet the curious inhabitants of the island as you find a way back to the mainland. Well GuywithPie, it is not dead, but it has been a bit quiet recently. That's because Estranged has been growing, and it has taken time.
Alpha 6 should land some time in July. We have just completed the final map we'd like to put in it, and we're now starting to write the scenes and work on the gameplay mechanics to make those bits fun.
Big things we've changed since Alpha #5:
- Added new infected models
- Added new sections to the old maps
- Re-wrote and re-recorded the first scene
- Started using our own core shaders, fixing the drawing issues with dynamic light
- Added a flashlight and a new battery mechanic
- Added a Colt 1911 (replaces the pistol)
- Added a hammer (replaces the crowbar)
...and we've added fresh new levels with more scenes and more content. So watch this space! And don't assume we're dead. We'll never die. Unless we drink the water.

This was an awesome mod. A few minor things like a crowbar on the ceiling, but i guess thats me not liking a slight challenge, i just spend like 20 mins chucking the rocks at the boards, enjoying the story so far and cant wait till a more complete story comes to light.
Keep up the good work and cant wait for the new weapons coming.
P.S. Im loving them Custom Barrels!

This was amazing! I played it and got into it so much! When will the full version be released? Please make more mods like this and make some even scarier ones! You have great potential!
We're working on the next release right now, and if that is substantial enough it'll be about 2 or 3 months. That won't be finished though - the finished article could take up to a year judging by how much time we have to put into it!
