ESCHATON An Immersive Spy Thriller. Genre: Action / Thriller / Mystery / Sci-Fi / Drama / Romance. Eschaton is a sci-fi first person shooter RPG based on Half-Life2?s Source engine. Fictionally, Eschaton is set in a near alternate future; it takes place between December 14th 2012, and December 21st 2012. Conceptually, Eschaton is genre-busting game ? part immersive simulation, part-role playing game, part first-person shooter and part adventure game. Theoretically, I am trying to create both an immersive simulation game in which you are made to feel as if you?re actually in the game world, and at the same time it becomes more like watching a stylish film, cut-scenes set the scene, and us getting to control the protagonist through his exploits, choosing the path of the plot and fighting the fights, figuring out the complexities, but behind willing to often leave him, see events from outside his eyes, and shadowy cut scenes of events on the other side of the world, leading to him. The recently renamed Eschaton project (previously Renaissance) continues to make significant process in it's development, with the acquiration of two new mappers and two new artists who are hard at work making the dream of Eschaton a reality. With considerable leaps in the realms of 2d and 3d art and the beginning of two plot-centric areas being hammered out on source, Eschaton is on it's way.
