I would use this song in some sort of a outro.
It doesn't quite fit the Half-Life 2 soundtrack feel. I agree with Maggy, I think it would fit better as an outro in the credits or something. It just may break the immersion of the Half-Life universe.
The track is nice. But yeah.. With all this theme HL2 got, it needs more dark synth music than rock, but even Episodes had some guitar sounds in its soundtrack actually.
But that doesn't count I suppose.
It totally counts, In my opinion. I think if this track had a little more of that speed drums with some deep, heavy synth tones, this could be an awesome piece that doesn't break the Half-Life feel.
