Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

I've been playing the mod for a while, and I've been having great fun but something which i still haven't seen yet is a cybernetics planet. I looked at the most recent post regarding conditions for them to spawn (Or at least i think, i'm sorry if I'm wrong and I've missed something) and recently decided to just keep restarting a Random-vast or random-huge, surrendering and looking at the whole map and i still haven't seen a cybernetics planet, after maybe doing that 10 or so times, which I'm sure isn't just me being unlucky over all the other games I've played. I'm just curious if there was some option i was meant to enable, or if the cybernetics planets were removed.

Anyway though thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

Hmm, well I have talked to some players recently who managed to find one, so I'm pretty sure they're spawning correctly. I'll double check those maps are working though.

Yes, the spawning conditions is that it has a 20% per player inhabited Star System to appear, except the Fiefdom maps, where it appears in the uninhabited Star System. If you are impatient about finding it, you can always force one to spawn via the in game Map Designer or the E4X Galaxy Forge.

Would that mean the greatest chance of finding it in a map would be a Random-Multi? Anyway the map designer worked and i can see why they are so rare now, so thank you for suggesting about that, completely forgot about it.

In absolute terms yes, since they are the only maps that have two chances for one to spawn, one in each system that players start in. However, given how long it takes to explore these maps it may be faster to simply play a lot of random smalls over and over until you get lucky, since you can usually tell if one spawned within a few minutes.
