Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

Im not very advanced in modding, but it says the checksum should be 23017499 with the hot fix applied. I am getting 28526355.... Every time i go to load the mod it crashes the game. I am running Rebelion 1.01.4176 which is 1.1 right? Please let me know what im doing wrong.
I see that i don't have the patch i think. I have another question, on the 1.4 mod, i dled your galaxyforge, made a map using the new planets and such, but when i go to start it, i get an automatic defeat..? and it looks as if nothing has spawned?

Okay, just to be clear here, you should not be enabling any part of E4X 1.4/1.45. The only thing you should have enabled is "Enhanced 4X Mod 1.5", and when you extract the 1.501 patch it should prompt you to overwrite some files in that directory, so you don't need anything else enabled.
You have the right version of Rebellion, so I'm guessing something else is getting loaded with the mod that shouldn't be, or you had a corrupt download.
As for the Galaxy Forge, it may not work with anything but E4X 1.5 series since that GF contains the new planets and bonuses the older versions can't use. Otherwisem, the main cause of the automatic defeat bug is to not give every player a starting planet and homeworld.

Ok i have the patch for 1.1 now, and i have the current GF you uploaded. Now i know that i only have the 1.5 mod enabled, and it is now working. But for the GF problem, i Have both starting positions, and everything looks good, but it still won't work, just auto-defeat. And thank you for the help GoaFan77!
I had an older map i made with the map designer ingame, in 1.4 e4x. I opened it in the GF to "Refine" it, and still no work.
I did notice that the planets that existed in the original map, like the home planet, had 0 for all the upgrades ect, where if i spawned a new one, it had the default.
Even after creating a whole new map, same thing. Is there a specific function i am missing? i don't think i have had this problem b4.
Ok problem fixed! I remembered you need to place the maps in the /galaxyforge folder, it was placeing it in the mapdesginer folder by default? lol!!! Case closed, thanks Goa!!!!!

Okay, here's quite possibly your problem.
The in game map designer and Galaxy Forge actually do two pretty different things. The map designer is for random maps, they will be different every time you play it. The Galaxy Forge is a "What you see is what you get" editor for making "pre-made maps", like Point Blank etc. The map layout is the same everytime you play it minus some partially random elements you can set up. I don't know if you can open one up in the other anymore, but if you can opening up a random map in galaxy forge just creates one random instance of the map for you to use as a template.
I would try making a very small map in just the galaxy forge and see if you can get that to work. That way I know whether its a basic map making problem or something more complex.
