the story so far...
...it is months after the Red Army War. Darwinia is suffering from system
failures, inactive systems, and even visual instability.
assist dr. sepulveda in locating the source of the errors, and cleaning up any
'stray' virii left over from the red army war.
you also find evidence that you may not be 'alone' in the quantum ether...
to run:
1) place enemywithinpart1 directory in your darwinia mods directory:
windows: ..\darwinia\mods\
steam: ..\valve\steam\steamApps\[username]\darwinia\mods\
mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Darwinia/full/mods/
linux: ~/.darwinia/mods/
make sure to maintain the proper file structure - inside 'mods' there should
be one directory with the name of the mod, and within that, should be game.txt
and other relevant files and directories.
2) load the mod, restart darwinia, and create a new profile before playing.
*note: turn off hardware3D support and realtime fx in the sound options (as
these features are still buggy), and make sure RenderSpecialLighting is set
to '0' in preferences.txt for best performance.

- worked around a bug in the game causing the last level to crash
- changed all PylonStarts (broken in-game) and PylonEnds to regular Pylons
- cosmetic changes: modified logo added in last patch, added an icon graphic
and interface text strings for the custom research item
- very minor dialog tweaks
- moved a camera in the third level
- moved one triffid out of the map file for the third level
- moved around some triffids in the last level
- replaced a Library with a library-shaped staticshape in the last level
- by popular demand, added rockets to the last level
(good luck not blowing yourselves up with them)
new in v1.41:
- cosmetic changes only: added a logo to the first level, added a new
clouds.bmp, added demo2 radar dish shape
new in v1.4:
- adjusted some dialog
- changed Squad Research to v2.0
- removed custom laser sounds/graphics
- removed custom engineer shape
- removed custom egg sprite
- added a light to level one
- made level two and three slightly larger/harder
- fixed bug making the intro repeat on leaving/re-entering level three
- fixed bug making a Control Tower revert to team 1 on leaving/re-entering
level three
- adjusted lighting in level four
- made level four slightly harder
- added a 'consequence' for failing level four (not really easy to do)
- fixed a possible bug with ending sequence
new in v1.32:
- removed access to an empty level
- fixed a possible 'cheat' in the third level
new in v1.31:
- reduced poly count
- removed access to the fourth level before completing the third
new in v1.3:
- tightened up some minor storyline dialogue
- moved starting camera in second level
- better explained objective in final level
- fixed a few help text scripts
- 'enhanced' the ending sequence.

- added 'help' text to last level objective
- modified Sepulveda's avatar

disclaimer: with the exception of the darwinia: enemy within logo, i hereby
give permission for you to go ahead and use the parts of my mod created by me
in your own mods. all I ask is that you maybe mention me in the readme file.
also, please don't host my mod as a whole on another site without my
permission, as I already have a site and 1 or 2 mirrors for each mod, and it's
a pain in the ass to keep them updated already as it is. plus, people download
old versions of my mods from alternate places, and send me copious amounts of
email about bugs that have already been fixed, thus causing me excess grief.
