Enderal - The Shards of Order is a total conversion mod currently in development for Bethesda Softwork's Skyrim and is the sequel to Nehrim: At Fate's Edge. The story of Enderal is not set in the Elder Scrolls world of Tamriel, but takes place in its own universe, creating a new, interesting world completely unrelated to Skyrim.

Greetings!

We used the opportunity of working on our website to also update and revise our gallery. The album “Ingame” has been split into two separate sub-albums, one containing the latest material, and the other one containing older screenshots.

This also gave us the chance to share new insights into the world with you – This time you can take a first glimpse into the Enderal’s East, the so-called Wasteland, which is, with the exception of a small settlement, uninhabited. A lot of adventurers venture into the Wasteland hoping to get their share of the Wasteland’s treasures of the soil.

The other two screenshots show an enigmatic excavation site, laid open by the Order of Paladins., where there are many secrets to discover and decisions to make. Stay tuned!

Quick question: will you make a new combat system or stick with the old (not so exciting) TES one?

Ok, same question to you I asked the Ethas people: Traditional RPG, or Sandbox/Open World?

Well the previous game Nehrim to me was a combination of the two. It was Open World just like Oblivion but slightly more linear. Each zone had its own level range and the gameplay itself also had traditional RPG elements. Enderal will probably something like Nehrim

Also this quote from the website will answer your question:

''In addition, the skill system will differ a lot from the one in Skyrim. Enderal will feature the known XP based skill system from Nehrim, improved with certain aspects that will help players to specifiy their characters in a more detailed way, thus intensifying the connection between player and avatar. Long story short, Enderal will be a classic RPG with alternative storytelling features.''

Thats pretty much what we're aiming to achieve, yep. We once stated that we'd like to create a synthesis between the intense story-experiences such as Mass Effect has them and combine them with a completely open world-game with a lot of freedom. :)

Congrats on making it to the top 5! Wow, first year out of the gate and already getting that far is awesome. I bet this isn't the last we've seen of Enderal in MOTY competitions ;) .

Funny thing is when you go over to their forums it's not really that active, I didn't expect to make it to the top 5 as at first it seemed obscure to most players I thought. If it could already get so much votes at this early stage then I think Enderal will be at least twice as popular as Nehrim.

So, is this a story sequel to Nehrim, or at least set in the same universe, or is it a 'spiritual successor'? Excited either way.

Sequel to Nehrim but it will take place on a new landmass.
