Will we be able to play with our skyrim characters on this? Or will I have to create a new character when I start it. Also I assume it doesn't since it says total conversion but will it be a world you can travel to from skyrim or will it just replace the skyrim world? If it does replace, I'm not sure how hard this is, but could you add a version that let's you travel there from skyrim?

Nope, you won't be able to play with your skyrim character or travel from Enderal to skyrim. Enderal has it's own launcher and works like a completely seperate game, you can run simultaneously to skyrim. Furthermore it changes some core gameplay elements like the skill and the leveling system and has different races than skyrim, which pretty much makes every character save incompatible with the core game.

For any general question on the mod, you should check out the FAQ at their website Sureai.net and this fan made overview at their forum Sureai.net

Oh wow, sounds cool. Will I be able to use some of my mods for it? I understand things like skyre and some stuff won't work cause of the leveling being changed but things like character textures mods etc, will they work?

I don't know much about modding myself, so i might be wrong on some details. But from what have heard so far, simple texture replacers should work without any problems - though they might not always increase the quality of the game, as enderal replaces most vanilla textures for skyrim assets that are used anyways. Most other mods probably need to be adjusted to work with enderal, because the TC uses it's own esp master file. One good thing though is that the developers got the permission to use and include SKSE into their mod, which will be automatically installed when installing enderal. So it should be possible to get many skyrim mods working in enderal.

Some news from SureAI on facebook Facebook.com

"for everyone, who was wondering about the silence in the past two months. The simple answer, as usual: We're working like madmen (and women) and unfortunately, the work we're doing isn't as visually rewarding as other tasks; Balancing, Bugfixing and Quest-Implementation take a lot of time. Furthermore, the German localization got rolling, and we've started the English translation.

A thing some of you might be intersted in: After past years trailer, we were contacted by PCGamer UK. In next months issue, we're represented with a 6-page article about Enderal, with some exclusive information. Here's a Link to the announcement (We're flattered!). As soon as the article goes online, we'll link it here. Pcgamer.com

To wrap it up: Stay tuned! We're doing our best to deliver some new impressions as soon as possible.

All the best,

SureAI"

Wow this mod looks increadible, I really look forward to when this mod is complete so that I can play it. Will it require you to start a new game from Skyrim main menu or will it have a seperate launcher?

Fallout New Vegas' "Dead Money" aka "Sierra Madre" area was also very much like "The Pitt" if not harder and with more emphasis on survival. That was also a great area.

(Sorry for double posting, but 5mins. is short.)

I really like settings and gameplay that is like, for example "The Pitt" in Fallout 3 (dlc). Youtube.com

I find it very challenging and fun if there is an area in a game with good content that can hold you there for several hours. What I like about that is, that for having a chance of survival in those places your character cannot be low leveled and in addition upon entering the area it is stripped off of all its gear, completely. So to survive and complete the different missions and challanges the character is forced to use whatever it can find and craft there -with big emphasis on crafting- so to a fairly low level character surviving there would be much harder than that of the 'expected' level's. What also makes it more or less challenging is the character's crafting skills when entering the area.. depending on that some people have an easier time than others... and stuff like that.

If Enderal would have such an area somewhere in it (where the player could enter any time but couldn't leave until the main questline of the area is finished) it would be great! :D Of course, it takes time and you might not have it or there might already be something similar planned one way or another.
