Enderal - The Shards of Order is a total conversion in development for Skyrim and the sequel to Nehrim: At Fate's Edge by SureAI. The story of Enderal is not set in the Elder Scrolls world of Tamriel, but takes place in its own universe, creating a new, interesting world completely unrelated to Skyrim with a complex, dark storyline and thousands of secrets to discover.

Compared to the stuff construction (equipment, 'structures', etc.) system available in games like "Rust", how will it be in Enderal?

I like gathering resources and building stuff from them. If I could build a house or a fort just about anywhere, that would be awesome.

That doesn't work because of how Skyrim connects Interiors and Exteriors.
To put it in short words: the interior isn't at the other side of the door you open; instead you teleport to that interior - hence the loading screen ;-)

So even if you could build an exterior from scratch, the same can't be said from the interior as it usually isn't right behind the door - theoretically you could make it that way so that you would have a true open world, where you can enter houses without loading screens (The Witcher 3 would be an example of that) but the Skyrim engine would "explode" if you tried that with a big castle or sth along that line - meaning you would run into heavy FPS issues even with GTX Titan SLI as GPUs ;-)

Building large stuff is awesome, but I would be satisfied with being able to set up a camp or build a small shack/shed with maybe some very basic fence/wall and a door/gate to stop or hamper creeps and stuff getting in. Nothing fancy.

Weeeeell, it has been done before but on too large a scale; yeah, your Skyrim would lag out or crash, and possibly your autosave corrupted. It isnt advisable.

Hey. Are you planning to use some cool mods from nexus? There's one new you should think about - "body scars" by Naxmaardur .

Spellmaking in Skyrim or something similar would be better.
