an awsome mod. top down stragagy combined with first person shooter.

The mod is pretty good but it's basically battlefield with a few RTS elements, which is not a bad thing but it's unoriginal.

Awesome mod, the only FPS/RTS that I have found that works.

Kaptain Kirk is Klimbing the mountain

Amazing game. I played it before it was on Desura but now that it is im SO excited to play again (hopefully we get more people online)

Awesome...I wish Steam would make a standalone game out of this.

The only RTS/FPS that I have found enjoyable.

Played it for 2 years. More people should play it.

In all my years of gaming I've played a lot of games, I've seen a lot of communities rise and fall, I've seen mods whimper and die, flourish and prosper, but in all that time, I have never once found a single game that captivates me in the same way that Empiresmod has.

this mod has some poor graphics (despite my best efforts), average sound effects, a passable storyline, and a well meaning if aggressive community, altogether they add up to about 5/10.

But the gameplay of this mod, the sheer amount of content, replayability and sheer awesomeness that you get every time yuo load up empires, completely blows those other facts out of the water.

This mod is a milestone in source gaming, it's just nobody has realised it yet.

I don't give it a 10 out of 10 lightly, nor because someone asked me too, or even because I'm one of it's contributors.

I give empires a 10/10 because it is the single most brilliant piece of gaming I'm proud to be a part of. Never have I played a game it's equal, there's something strange about the game, it's something I can't put into words, it's a rough game to get into, hell it's a rough game to keep playing, what with stupid drama, the occasional WTF moment when you read the patchnotes, and the overzealous players, but once you truly get into empires, nothing can pull you back out.

I love this game.

a great way to game, the most war-like with amazingly large maps. for any one who want's to see what a realish war would be like
