Empires is a mod for Half-Life 2 which will combine the genres of real-time strategy and first person shooter. Each team has four classes to choose from (scout, rifleman, grenadier, and engineer) with unique weapons and skills each. One player will become the commander by entering the team's command vehicle to build the team's base and lead his team to victory. Once your base is built up, purchase vehicles from your team's vehicle factory to open up another facet of Empires' gameplay. Vehicles can be customized with unique weapons, armor, and engines. The commander can research improvements to all aspects of vehicles such as longer range cannons, homing missiles, and armor-piercing machine gun rounds. Once your team is prepared, lead an assault into the enemy base. The enemy team is defeated when all players are wiped out with either no place to respawn or no reinforcements remaining or the team's command vehicle is destroyed.

It's been much too long since our last update, and much has happened since then. Our next release will feature all new weapon models and animations, and all rifle weapons will have iron sights for their secondary fire mode. All SMGs will retain their melee attack. All of the Northern Faction models and animations have been completed, but the Brenodi Empire animations have not. Our desire to get the next release out there is increasing every day, and it appears that we're going to go ahead and release within the next few weeks without all new weapon models and animations. This has been the only factor holding back the next release.

2.0 has a lot of fixes from 1.7, but i wonder why the ranged rifle is wobbly, heavy rifle isnt wobly and is the same idea, and heavier. but a lot of good fixes, although now vehicles can get stuck on one another. the apc needs to be able to easily get off other vehicles. more wheels? hope for the aircraft son, they would really help defense. and i think refineries should give a bit more resources/s. very hard to do much of anything. but a lot of bugs fixed. although, did the missle turrets get less accurate and worse homing?

ML turrets weren't changed as far as I know, but there are 3 different levels, and you may have just remembered the higher level ones or something like that. :)

I haven't stopped playing! This is a 10 out of 10 mod! Though I consider this like a game! I love being the engineer! Also this game requires hard team work to destroy the enemies. This truly is one of my favorite mods played. And still playing!
