A new server side only patch has been released for Empires, version 1.073, which fixes a recently discovered exploit and one other bug. All of our time has been focused on completing 1.08 so it was quite a big deal that we dropped all work and went back to fix a problem that was just discovered yesterday by one of our forum members.
I thought I would also use this news post to give an update on 1.08 which is still coming along smoothly. We've managed to add another weapon animator to get things done as soon as possible. Here are some new screen shots to show off the new Northern Faction grenade and mine models and animations in-game.

looks super, for me the weapons models and animations were the only thing lacking about the earlier releases.
