Description

Mon Calamari Cruiser: MC 102 Class

Tier 5 Rebel Battleship. Stronger than the normal Tier 4 Mon Calamari Cruiser. Unlike the Imperials which get free fighters and bomers from each starship they bring into battle, the Rebellion lacks a strong starship capable of carrying a significant number of fighters and bombers. There is the Quasar Carrier, which is a great small support carrier ( Moddb.com ) but is also very expensive and cannot defend itself vs anything larger than a corvette. The Mon Calamari 102 functions as a large carrier, while still retaining the role of heavy battleship. The MC 102 costs 10 population points and 12000 credits. Only one Tier 5 Battleship can be purchased at any time.

It carries 6 X-wing squadrons (4 spawned), 3 Y-wing squadrons (2 spawned), 5 A-wing squadrons (3 spawned) and 3 B-wing squadrons. (2 spawned) which spawn quickly from its 8 hangers once brought onto the field.

Statistics in comparison to the normal Tier 4 Cruiser (MC 80):
Has a power to shields ability,
360% shield points of MC 80,
225% hitpoints of MC 80,
Turbolaser DPS 250% of MC 80,
Ion cannon DPS 50% of MC 80,
Added several smaller laser cannons, as seen on the Nebulon B Frigate. (200% DPS of Nebulon B lasers, 100% DPS of Nebulon B overall)

Note, this is with all weapons firing. The ship has limited fire arcs, like Home One, with weapons in rest positions facing all directions. The ship will never be able to direct all fire to one target, but put it in the middle of an enemy fleet and it'll happily fire all batteries. That way the ship is most effective.

Window lights to be added later. Still in the process of deciding how I want them to look like, for all intents and purposes the ship is finished.
